Beautiful, peaceful, interesting, and lovely location and property. Lots of birds and deer. Nice trails. Cabin was quiet, quaint, and private. Visitor Center staff were kind, engaged, and knowledable. Neat displays and information. Enjoyed learning about Norwegian heritage and history. Property manager provided great communication. Signage to property was also helpful. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely visit again.
Super cute cabin located in a heritage center with plenty of hiking trails. There was no hot tub but that was perfectly fine. It was a great cabin for a friend and me to get away for the weekend and "forget" about mom duties for a couple days!
We feel so fortunate to have experienced such a sweet cabin nestled in a breathtaking valley. We were able to get up in the morning to peace and tranquility. We went on an early morning hike each day with our dog seeing the most beautiful wild flowers, rolling hills, fog and an area that made us feel we were in Norway. We hated to leave, but will definitely be back.
Very cute and well-maintained cabin at the Norskedalen nature center. Location is quiet and serene, but there are some fun little shops in town if you are looking for something to do.
The cabin has lots of stairs and the bathrooms are in the basement, which was fine with us but might be an issue for young children & those with mobility impairments
This cabin was such a nice reminder of simpler times. The location was private yet close to all trails. On the downside, the ladder to get upstairs was difficult resulting in only 1 person able to sleep in a bed. In the downstairs shower/tub, ther was a slow drain and standing water while you showered. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there. Lori is a very nice lady! Thank you!
This world is getting a little crazier every day, and the rush-rush of our hectic lives can sometimes be overwhelming. If you want to get away from it all, just for a little respite, there is no better place anywhere to soak up the history, the surrounding nature, the wildlife, and an off-the-grid time of peace. than the Per and Anne Paulsen Cabin at the Norskedalen Nature and Heritage Center. An experience of a lifetime!
The cabin was adorable. Older people be warned that to get to the bedroom you do have to climb a ladder but we are over 65 and had no problem. At night you have the whole park to yourself which is amazing. There is an historic village at the park which was fun to walk through and the paths are lovely. It is a Little House on the Prairie cabin as advertised and certainly worth the stay.
