My nuclear and extended family had a great time staying in Port A! I wasn't 100% sure about the layout of the sleeping areas from the description in the listing, but there was plenty of space for all of us. (When you walk through the door, go straight through the dining and kitchen area and there is a set of double doors that opens to a room with a queen bed. A door to the left opens to a room with a king bed, and a door across from the double doors leads to the laundry area with the bunk bed. Whoever is sleeping in the queen bed has the potential of being disturbed by someone walking through the room. It's a little unconventional, but it worked for us.)
There were a few minor issues that did not affect the quality of our stay, and I notified the owners. All communication with the owners was prompt and professional.
When we drove into Port A, we called as instructed and were met at the house by Nanci to receive the keys and a quick overview of the property. Other rentals I've arranged through VRBO had a keypad on the door, but I liked the personal touch provided by this group!
Property is a short walk to the beach (less than 3/4 of a mile) or a quick drive.
Kitchen had basic cooking utensils that were in decent shape. The knives were decently sharp (I was surprised- I usually find them to be quite dull). Bring your own herbs and spices though. Also bring your own charcoal if you want to use the grill like we did.
Overall, my family and I had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!
