Our stay at the funky parrot was not what i was expecting, i had very high expectations. I felt very stressed especially when at the house with the kids, because i didn’t want to get charged for anything, there was alot of things the house had that are already in not the good state the washer smelled really bad and was super dirty. The MB shower leaks alot of water with the door closed. The coffee pot was disgusting had to go out and end up buying coffee. We pay a cleaning fee thats not very small all to end up having to wash your own dishes(not that i dont want tonwash my own dishes but at the end they should make sure dishes are washed properly because the first time we used some dishes they were really dirtymeaning the last guest didnt wash them correctly so we are having to depend on the guest to leave them clean) and when i got there there was dishes put away that were dirty. So technically they have us do the dishes and really its up to the person who was there before us to leave the dishes clean. No condiments at all but salt and one or two things for the coffee but the coffee pot was disgusting.the fridge was not cooling correctly nor the freezer. Honestly over all my vacation was very stressful felt like i had to be on my tippy toes while at the house with the kids i felt like everything had to be left in tact and how it is. Not stating i wanted to leave it a mess but i still for a vacation with kids i dont recommend-not for the price.

Easy family get-away

This was an incredibly easy family trip. The pool is great, beach access was very close (would recommend a golf cart). The rental itself is very clean and the game room was (a little loud but) a HUGE hit with the whole family. We’ll definitely try to grab this one again!

Great stay at the Funky Parrot

The property was very clean and spacious, it never felt crowded with 6 people. The kids had fun with the arcade machines and they enjoyed having a balcony off of the guest room. Washer and dryer are great and the kitchen is well equipped (except there was no toaster for some reason). The bed in the master bedroom is very firm, not a bad thing just something to be aware of. The pool is great but it does get crowded, it was better going early or later at night. Easy access to the beach with car or golf cart. Also liked that we had two assigned parking spots in front of the unit. We would definitely stay here again.

Great time at the beach

My husband and I brought our 5 y/o twins to Port A for the Memorial Day weekend holiday and loved our stay in this unit. The bedrooms were perfect, comfortable and clean. We loved having the kitchen available and it even included children’s table settings and silverware! We will definitely be back!

Our Stay

We had a great time, in the perfect place. The weather was a little dreary a couple of days, but the heated pool was perfect. It’s a great location and a great place to stay. My 4 year old loves the games, but the hockey table could use some news pucks. My only suggestion would be black out curtains in the master bedroom, it gets bright in there in the morning and is hard to put my little one down for a nap midday. Overall, great place. We love staying here!

Fantastic

We enjoyed absolutely everything! It was clean, roomy, had everything we needed and the property manager was very helpful. Just be careful of the dryer, but thank goodness they had one. I just had a few items get torn up in the dryer. Definitely rent golf cart and we will be back for sure!!

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. We liked the closeness to everything including the beach. We also went to the pool several times. And yes there is a washer and dryer upstairs. The listing doesn’t mention it but I’m so glad we didn’t have to bring home dirty laundry. We can’t wait to come back and visit again.

Great beach house location

It was perfect location to walk to the beach! You do hear the vehicles on the road in both bedrooms that was a little annoying but you can put on white noise to help. The house was very clean and beautiful! It was perfect for our trip! We would come again!

Perfect location and awesome pool

We loved the quick access to the beach, and the pool was endless fun for the kids. I couldn’t find it anywhere in the listing, so if you’re like me and wondering, yes the unit has its own washer and dryer. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Property and Great Company Running It

The property is beautiful and we greatly enjoyed using it for a beach getaway. While there we experienced an accident at the property that really set back our enjoyment of the weekend. Thankfully, the property manager was amazing and understanding. They took great care of us and helped us salvage what could have been a disastrous getaway. This is the kind of customer service that builds trust. When we are ready to return to Port Aransas this will be the first place we look!

Great stay no issues!

Great all around! Had an issue with the TV and someone came right away and fixed it. Parkings are tight and limited but we did not have a problem finding a guest parking none of the days. Overall Great stay!

Townhouse 8min walk to beach/2min drive

Cute townhouse called The Funky Parrot. Kids loved the arcade room (everything worked except air hockey discs didn’t float). Only thing odd was no lamps in any rooms so it was either super dark or super bright. Cute community pool with slide. Family had a great time.
