The hotel at first glance looks very nice the pools are nice , very scenic . The waitstaff work really hard so customer service is great . The issue we had was that when we got to our room we noticed that the outside looked run down and then when we entered it looked like something a druggie would stay in . It was run down and there were holes in the wall above the tv. We stayed there one night because we were tired but the next we went and mentioned the condition of the room and after about 30 min we were transferred to another room which totally changed our opinion partly of the hotel. It seens like the hotel is under renovation so some building are under construction. But let people know that in advance so they can set their exoectations when they arrive. Especially at 200 + a night. The food was typical all inclusive food and was not that great. But once again service top notch. As a person of color coming from America i did not feel welcome because eventhough the front desk staff knew english enough to understand me the activities throughout the hotel were all in spanish so i felt alienated. And my wife and i noticed thst wherever we went people seemed to stare at us and i am reluctant to say it was racial but it was jjust uncomfortable being constantly stared at. This hotel is for spanish speaking people only which probably explained the little to no Black people we saw there.

After reading the reviews I had my doubts about this resort. I must say this place was great. They had plenty of places to eat, multiple pools to cool off and enough Imperial (beer) for everyone. Staff was humble and really nice. Staff spoke english and spanish so communication wasnt a problem. They also have an area to rent cars or excursions so you can visit other areas close to Puntarenas. I have no complaints about this place besides the wait time to check in other than that I would bring family here on my next visit. Pura vida!

Enjoyable but not fantastic

We stayed at the resort for a couple of nights when we first arrived in Costa Rica, after 2 weeks of traveling around Mexico. It was nice to have a relaxing break but after 2 days we were bored. We were glad that we had a premium room, which meant access to a different pool, as the main pools were loud and crowded. Service was good, food was good.

Ive stayed here multiple times over the years and sadly this place is going downhill. The service is still good but the rooms are showing their age. No hot water and AC cools but not cold. Bathroom drain not secured, mold in the bathrooms... The weekend gets opened to the locals who i love but be aware its like being on a packed cruise. Not enough seating around the pools, long lines for food and drinks. So avoid the weekend at ALL costs! Now the good stuff are the shows, staff and some of the better restaurants. Keep in mind thats VIP or limited for the rest. It wont let me add pictures to show the concerns.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pols were nice, and the food was pretty good. We would prefer no kids next time we book a trio to somewhere. that was our mistake. The kids weren't bad; we didn't consider the noise when booking our trip.

I have been here many times but for some reason they're just letting the rooms fall apart. Then i changed to a king room the AC doesn't work well. Light doesn't work and the moisture had me slip and fall . After so many visits i doubt i will return and of course it won't allow me to share the photos

Worst hotel I have ever staid in , gear are treated like you are there for free , at checking they won't check you in at the lobby they only check in people that but VIP rooms , regular rooms they send you to a dirty event center , and extreamly hot , second worst good ever , they only cater food to locals , rooms have no fridge and not even a bottle of water , got up at 6:45am and went to lobby for coffee and they said sorry we don't open till 7 , , food is discussing , they have a Puerto Rican trying to cook Mexican and has no clue , no American food at all ,

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent experience at your resort. Upon arrival, the condition of the room assigned to me was completely unacceptable. The room was filthy the toilet still had toilet paper in it as if it had just been used, the bed was unmade, and the entire space appeared as though it had been neglected for some time. It was not only dirty, but there were also signs of a pest issue, making it feel more like an abandoned property than a functioning resort. To make matters worse, the staff I interacted with were exceptionally rude and unhelpful. Instead of offering solutions, I was met with indifference and a lack of concern for the state of my accommodations. Due to the resort’s failure to provide a habitable room or any support, I was forced to sleep in my mother’s room with my two children, which was highly inconvenient and stressful. This experience was far from the relaxing vacation we hoped for. I would have left immediately if I weren’t so far from home. I strongly urge your management to address the cleanliness and customer service issues urgently, as no guest should have to endure what we did. I request a formal response to this complaint and a refund or compensation for this distressing experience.
