The only thing we did not like about the Westin is the food. Very underwhelmed. The menu was not good at all. In fact, we decided to go out to eat, even though we already had all inclusive. Restaurants across the street were 100 times better

The hotel is shown as all-inclusive on Expedia. I was told upon arrival that all-inclusive was an option for an additional charge of 96pp per night. We paid the fee but were still required to sign and add a tip after every meal (why else would we be asked to sign the bill - it's all-inclusive, it must be for the tip, no?). At checkout, my final bill showed an additional daily charge added for tips each day. This should have been disclosed upfront. The location is too far from the main area. There's nothing to do around the hotel or at the hotel other than lounge around the pool or go to the spa. The best local amenity is the Key Lime Pie Factory across the street - the best pie ever! Online mentions that this is a dive hotel. Two guys in a booth by the water arranging dives does not constitute a dive hotel. You can rent equipment but the equipment doesn't work. I was given a faulty BCD - the only use it provided was to hold the tank. There are no lockers and no tups of freshwater to rinse equipment. It is very clean, with good service but has limited food selection (except at breakfast) and is a bit boring.

Highly Recommended! The experience exceeded expectations. The service and facilities were excellent. All staff were professional and genuinely caring. Their personal greetings and warm smiles made us feel at home every day. The Gaviotas Restaurant was the great start of the day with a great selection of breakfast menu (must try the delicious buffet) and how to forget the amazing authentic lunch and dinner menu selection! Staff was always so attentive and ensured that we had an amazing time every day. The Cuzamil Restaurant experience was unforgettable! My family will be forever grateful to all the special Servers, talented Chef and to the Capitán Don Jorge for making every dinner so memorable and making my family feel special.

We stayed at the Weston for a week with the all inclusive package. Overall, it was a good experience but we wouldn’t go back. Most of the staff was very friendly and the facility is clean. The food is good, but there are only two restaurants and a snack bar/grill near the pool, so there are not a lot of options. Even though we had all inclusive, we literally had to sign a bill after every meal, every drink, everything. We had to consistently sit there and wait for the waiter to bring the zero sum bill so we could leave. One time we got sick of waiting and just left, only to be chased down by the waiter for us to sign a bill with a zero balance. In the morning there is one place to get coffee and it’s across the property in a separate building. It’s the same place that they’re serving the breakfast buffet. We took a breakfast pastry a few mornings to take back to our room with coffee, only to be eventually told that we couldn’t do that. Lastly, there is no entertainment. No evening shows, yard games, music around the pool, nothing. If you like to do more than lay in the sun and drink, it’s easy to get bored. The snorkeling is good right off the shore, so that was nice. Again, overall it was good but I’ve been to many other all inclusive a that are much better.

The Westin was a disappointment to my family. We arrived the first of March. We first noticed the unpleasant odor in the lobby. The smell was stale. The rooms were very bare. We noticed minimal effort for comfort. However, we must say the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant choices were very limited. One restaurant and two poolside areas were available until 4pm. The one and only restaurant opened at 6pm. Each night was a different theme meal. The beach was nice with very good snorkeling. Depending on expectations, the Westing would be okay for those with plans to do other activities outside of the resort, would be okay. For our family, it was much less than what we had hoped for.
