We appreciated the hostâs attention to detail. The house was thoughtfully supplied with fans (we came in the heat of summer), games for the kids, and really anything we needed. Hosts were very generous is letting us see the farm and animals. Our family had a great time, thank you!
Wonderful, kind, and responsive hosts! When a storm made it unsafe to stay, they helped us find a hotel and even lent us a pack and play for our child. Sad we missed out on their beautiful property (and the animals!) but hope to visit again soon.
Every bit as delightful as the photos suggest; gleaming wood floors with colorful rugs; exquisite bedrooms. Quality, charm and art abound indoors (with a great dollop of practicality and ease as well) and with a library to outlast any stay. Outdoors the regenerated land is a birders paradise. And the hosts are simply as special as their home.
We loved our visit and stay at Hurricane Hill Farm! We got to enjoy the peace of the farm, see the animals, and even have farm fresh eggs for breakfast! We loved having our morning coffee outside and snacks outside. Laying on the hammock was relaxing as well! Coincidentally, we had the opportunity to be at their annual sheep shearing festival. We all enjoyed that as well! Thank you for a beautiful weekend!
The location of this little farm is a total surprise since itâs so secluded and yet so close to everything you might need as well as the attractions R.I. offers from Providence to South County and Newport. The cottage is classic early New England but modernized for full comfort. The farm animals are a bonus and the hosts are very kind and thoughtful people.
This farm stay was all we hoped for. Beautiful accommodations, great bedding, well stocked kitchen and amazing views. Plus, the sheep, goats, llama, poultry, and gardens reminded us so much of our old farm in Iowa. We hope to return in the summer.
The property is very clean. Bed was comfortable. But, it needs comfortable seating. There is a couch, but it's not comfy. There is no TV. I guess it's my own fault for assuming. I honestly had no idea that a place like this was TV free.
We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The farm was such an asset for young ones. They played for hours after a Long plane ride. The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. Drake was great to work with!
After a week of road tripping in New England we stayed here at Drake's place as our final stop. Her quiet country surroundings were a perfect way to wind down the trip my mother and I were finishing. The accommodations have a real lived-in farmhouse charm with plenty of space, comfortable beds, and well supplied kitchen.
Providence is a surprisingly short drive away. Drake's property sits right at the edge of that city/country line. We didn't get to explore Providence much, but there are lots of choices for fine dining and for what we saw, seemed a beautiful city with plenty to do. Gather Glass is worth a shout out for their hands on glass blowing demonstration.
Most enjoyable for me was the farm's 48 acres. Drake's Farmstead touches are everywhere, and I really appreciated her connection with her piece of earth. The pastured animals are well cared for, the gardens beautiful, and the trail that winds through the forested back acres is well worth the stroll. The stay here is more than just a bed
We had the loveliest time at Hurricane Hill! The house is beautifully furnished and the hosts were super sweet and helpful. We loved visiting the animals too. We want to go back, it was one of the top stays weâve ever had anywhere!
Drake and Wright, thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your wonderful home. The farm is amazing and being among the animals was a special treat. The serene property and cottage were just what we were looking for and the location made getting to our destinations of Martha's Vineyard, Providence and Newport very easy.
We hope to come back for another visit!

This property and home would be so cozy for a staycation! Charming art and furniture & a vast book collection for all ages. Games (we enjoyed cat Bingo đ) and even cozy stuffies to love. Our youngest enjoyed feeding the llama and visiting the animals. The hosts were great about communication.
Overall there were 7 of us (5 adults, 2 children). The farmhouse was comfy and offered everything we needed from amenities to location. Drake and Wright were amazing and friendly hosts. We were in RI to visit family and our stay at Hurricane Hill Farm made our visit perfect. We would recommend and most definitely stay here again.
We had the most wonderful time! The property is stunning and Drake and Wright are incredible hosts. The cottage is cozy, well maintained, and easily had enough space for the 7 of us. We would love to stay here again!
This space is great for unplugging and taking in nature while being very close to just about anything.
While staying here our families explored Rhode Island by checking out the Railway Explorers which was very fun and literally anyone can pedal them. We also went to Southwick Zoo and checked out Thayer Street in Providence. Also the Providence Place Mall is giant with so many shops and things to do(Level 99(escape roomish) and Dave & Busters).
In the down time we checked out the animals on the farm. There is Maxine the Llama, many sheep, and lots of chickens. We also had the pleasure of meeting the Hurricane Hill pets, Mr Smokey-pants the cat, and Oliver and Rosie the pups.
We often had breakfast on the patio while overlooking the field.
The rooms are a great size with all the amenities one could need.
The kitchen is bright with fun dishes to liven up your culinary adventures.
Overall we had a great time.
We absolutely loved it here. Cute cottage with a magical space. Farm fresh duck eggs were wonderful. Sipping morning tea under the linden tree out back was our favorite!
The setting is beautiful, an open meadow and garden. The working farm chickens, ducks, sheep and 2 llamas nearby added to the charm. The house is in great mix of an old house with modern systems. Drake and her husband are more than happy to help with questions but are also busy running the farm so you have privacy as well. Highly recommended.
