The cabin in the San Juan National Forest was cozy and peaceful. The kitchen was fully stocked. Clean cabin with a comfortable vibe. The back porch was my husband's favorite spot to watch for deer, and other wildlife. Many different kinds of wildlife we saw from the back porch.
A great, comfortable, relaxing, beautiful cabin in the mountains and trees. Great to sit on the deck with a cup of coffee and watch the hummingbirds and chipmunks. The quiet road around the lake makes for a nice stroll with stunning views of the mountains nearby.
Unfortunately we had several inconveniences during our stay at the cabin, beginning with constant construction noises during the day due to work being done replacing water lines in front of the cabin. The water was not on when we arrived and was extremely silted for the first couple of days. It was not drinkable at any point. The power went out 3 times while we were there and the internet went down as well. The cabin was otherwise comfortable, though the bedding was stained. We enjoyed the location but it would have been more relaxing without all of the construction vehicles beeping 20 yards away.
We loved our stay at this great little cabin. It was just perfect; exactly what we were hoping for. Lots of nice considerate touches to make our stay easier, quiet, and peaceful. Weâve already shared this little gem with friends and hope to make it back there ourselves.
We found this quaint cabin to have all the amenities of home with a fully stocked appliance kitchen. We cooked daily. Pet friendly a plus. Our two boys made it their home away from home for a week. When we arrived it was snowing and when we left it was in the 70âs. There was a floor runner that was a plus with the elements, so that we didnât have to worry about soiling the carpet.
Beautiful views, close to hike the Four Mile Falls. Cooking out in serenity! Great getaway to unwind from the Rat Race of every day life! Well stocked kitchen, bring all your food for cooking. FYI...There is not a store close by, but we enjoyed the quietness and were prepared.
This was "base camp" for us while we explored the area. Didn't spend a lot of time there during the day, but the evenings were awesome. Had a small fire and cocktails on the back deck. So relaxing!
Very quiet and roomy. Lots of places for everyone to go for walks in the evening. Short distance to Pagosa Springs and outdoor adventures.
All bedrooms are upstairs and a secure stair and hand rail to get in the back deck would have been nice. We would return here.
This is the perfect getaway! The cabin is a little drive (30min) from Pagosa Springs but the woods surrounding the cabin are stunning. The cabin was very comfortable for our family of four. This is the second time weâve stayed here because the location is beautiful and the cabin has everything you need. My only complaint was the carpet smelled strongly of urine.
Quick trip for some cooler temps and great hiking. As advertised/lots of wildlife and a great cabin. Fabulous hiking near by. Canât wait to come back!
We absolutely loved the Cozy Cabin! It was
perfect for our little family. The only thing I wasnât crazy about was the bathroom down stairs; I have to get up during the night and felt like I was waking everyone with the stairs. But definitely doable for a week! Cabin had everything furnished well including movies and games. We loved all the deer, elk and chipmunks we saw on the drive up and down each time. Definitely recommend!!!
Was a great place to stay away from town. We enjoy being away from the crowd and this is definitely it. Be prepared to drive 30min to town, we planned our outings with a bag for all events so that we only had to make the trip once a day if needed. The trails were great. Only disappointment was that the kids did not catch any fish on the property ponds. Otherwise great
