Perfect for families!!

We absolutely loved this house! The location is perfect—just a short walk to downtown, with everything easily accessible on foot. It’s ideal for families; we had plenty of space to spread out and feel comfortable. The house was spotless, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. For those with young kids, there are two parks just a quick walk away. Overall, it was even better than we expected!

Friends Ski Trip

The property was perfect for our group. There are 7 of us that do an annual ski trip and this property was perfect for this years. Great location for getting to the slopes easily then to get to town for dinner and drinks was blocks away.

We rented this place for our friend's 50th bday celebration. It was great. Cool, cabin-like vibe inside and great location. Bus to go to the ski hill was right around the corner and walking distance to anywhere in town. We would like to return!

Unique Property & Great Location

Overall, our family had a very nice stay at Yasnaya Polyana with 3 adult couples and 3 children (ages 8, 6 & 3). The property is within short walking distance to the Crested Butte ski shuttle and the charming historic downtown area. We liked the rustic character of the home and had plenty of space for spreading out with the two living rooms and large round table in the kitchen area between the LRs. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms spacious. Excellent communication from owner Ewa and Property Manager was responsive to a couple of minor issues. The property is comprised of two 2-story cottages interconnected by the Kitchen / Dining room which has a high vaulted / beamed ceiling. Washer & Dryer are located in a closet in this section. Each cottage has a Living Room and a bedroom on the ground floor with a larger bedroom and bathroom on the second floor. The north cottage faces Elk Ave with Bedroom 3 & Bathroom 3 on the ground floor and Bedroom 4 & Bathroom 2 on the second floor. The south cottage features a mud-room entrance across from the detached garage and a larger living room, but it has a few quirks that while not a big deal for us, we thought should be noted. Bedroom 1 (King) is located at the top of the stairs with Bathroom 1 but there are not any interior doors to isolate either the bedroom or bathroom. While it was not really an issue for us, noise readily travels up the stairs from the kitchen and living room, and the rest of the family respected our privacy when we were in "residence". Bedroom 2 on the ground floor is a small room with a queen bed and the water heater / boiler in a closet off the room. My daughter and her partner had to open one of the windows in the room to balance the heat from the utility room. We would stay here again.

Would stay again

Seven adult family members stayed here for a long weekend ski trip. Great location; close to downtown and shuttle stop. Plenty of space and nice having multiple rooms to hang out. Everything as advertised with the exception the TV in main seating room would not connect to the cable box. Fortunately, there was a tv that worked in a smaller room. Ewa was responsive to the problem but I just did not have time to hassle with a fix during our stay. Local property manager was very helpful throughout process.

Unique and Beautiful!

Yasnaya Polyana is a beautiful and unique place to stay. It is the quintessential Colorado experience. We loved the unique floor plan. The original 1906 cabin makes up the middle of the house with gathering areas and bedrooms on each end of the house. The house was clean, nicely furnished and appointed and very warm and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked and fun for preparing meals. We loved having happy hour on the front porch each evening. The location could not have been better. We were within walking distance of downtown Crested Butte. We are very grateful for your strict No Smoking and No Pets Policy. We would love to return when we come back to Crested Butte.

Great house in a great location!

This house was perfect for 8 of us...4 adults and 4 children. Having the extra living area was nice! Kitchen is a great size and was well equipped. The yard on the side of the house was well used by the kids. Best part of this house is it's location! We were able to walk or bike anywhere in town. Great location in an old log cabin

This is a great location, a couple of short walking blocks from all Elk Ave has to offer. While the original log cabin is still in tact, there are many modern amenities to make you comfortable. There are three common areas that allow you to spread out and relax. Loved the aspens in late september. can't wait to go back.

The location couldn’t be better for walking to town. Loved drinking coffee on front porch and seeing all the dog walkers go by with Mountain Views in the background. Kids loved riding bikes all around town and on Rec path nearby. Kitchen awesome!

Great place to stay in Crested Butte

Our family had never been to Crested Butte before, but what a wonderful place. Yasnaya Polyana is perfectly located on Elk Avenue and provided wonderful accommodations. We vacationed with our kids and grandkids. The house and yard are great for families and kids (great yard and also playground just down the street). The floor plan is awesome with plenty of room, large kitchen for cooking and family meals, comfy bedrooms and up to date bathrooms. This home has lots of conveniences and character....could easily be an annual event for our family!!

Daughter’s Wedding

It was a pleasure and easy to communicate with Ewa and Peak Properties. The house was perfect set up for our family to stay the five days during our daughter’s wedding. The home had everything needed to make our stay comfortable, plenty of space to spread out as well as large side yard for kids to play. The home is located close to everything. We didn’t need our car, as the shuttles and walking make it easy to get around. I would highly recommend staying here and would stay here again but, next time be a better guest! Thanks, Ewa.
