Caroline was very easy to work with and flexible when we had to make a late change. Beds were comfy, fire pit was awesome for making s’mores, and the peace and quiet was just what we needed to retreat to after a couple of tough days.

We had several small issues: internet not working upon arrival, limited TV options, missing or not operable TV remotes in bedrooms, 1 side of toaster nonfunctional, no salt & pepper, stairs are difficult/dangerous for older guests, few horizontal surfaces for storage in bedroom, top of refrigerator quite dirty, no charcoal (advertised as included). Nothing major and considering the host's current circumstances we got by ok. Overall, we had a great time in the area.

This cabin is beautiful! We wanted to do a float trip but didnt want to stay in tents or the typical small cabins that make up the majority of this area. This cabin made our float trip feel very luxorious! Bird's Nest Lodge came and picked us up and dropped us off directly from the driveway, and their 6 mile float was perfect! This place has a wonderful secluded feel, but is only a 5 minute drive to the grocery store. The cabin itself is beautiful inside and out. Had plenty of beds and space for the 10 adults in our party. I can only speak for the master bedroom on the main level, but the bed was very comfortable! We spent a lot of time out back, and the patio and fire pit are great for enjoying the outdoors. I even set up a projector and screen to enjoy a movie outside (plenty of outdoor outlets). Very nice kitchen and living room area as well. Will definitely be coming back here, and i hope to make it a yearly event for us!

Summer Float Trip

First time staying here and we had a great time. Will definitely be a new tradition. House was very clean and comfortable. Tons of room for each guest. The backyard patio, yard, and fire pit were perfect for hanging out, games, and dinners. Kitchen had everything you needed for dinners as well. The host is great too, responding immediately to any questions for check-in and during the stay with questions on the home. Will definitely be a repeat customer for the next float trip!

Beautiful, Cozy Home

We had a wonderful experience at the property we recently stayed at over the weekend. The house was slightly tucked away, giving it a cozy and secluded feel, making it the perfect spot for a family getaway!The home had everything we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen to an outdoor fire pit that we all enjoyed. It was perfect for all ages in our family which included little ones. It’s not often that we find a rental that makes everyone happy, but this place truly did.We were able to get away for some fishing, exploring and enjoying outdoor walks. It was delightful escape from the hustle and bustle, and our family had a great time.

Short Cabin Stay in December

Selected a weekend in December for a short cabin stay. We got really lucky with mild weather and we were even able to enjoy the fire pit one night. The cabin was as advertised. Very good cabin feel. The kitchen was fully stocked and Caroline confirmed ahead of time on a couple items we needed to cook with we’re already there. Definitely recommend anyone looking for a cabin getaway to book this listing.

Dudes only weekend = Success

Was looking for a place that was well kept, furnished and clean. Local to both golf and floating , plenty of amenities , plenty of room for our group, plenty of parking space . I mean when I say that this place checked ALL THE BOXES. When I booked , the owner Caroline reached out , and I knew from then on , she had our best interests at heart. She got us in contact with both the golf course and the float company. She made the process very smooth and easy. The cabin was absolutely fantastic!!! Everywhere you look , there’s something cooler that makes the cabin unique and special. No detail left out. Perfect for my group. So meticulously cleaned and ready for us. Everything we needed was ready to use . Weather was perfect, had a nice fire to go along with the grilling .i can’t say enough good things about this cabin , pictures just don’t do it justice. Cant hardly believe how this place gets anything less than 10!!!! Would recommend this place to anyone who is even thinking about a nice quiet place with all the bells and whistles you could possibly want. Will definitely be booking again soon. Ps whomever left the bad review , YOU’RE WRONG !!!! And reading the review , seems like you broke a lot of pretty straightforward and simple rules. You’re lucky you didn’t get thrown out.

Weekend Getaway

Booked Sweet Caroline for the weekend with some friends. The cabin inside and out was beautiful. The property owner since day 1 of booking to the end of the stay was very nice and informative. We also booked a float during our stay.It was super convenient to have there shuttle service pick us up and drop off. I would highly recommend this cabin for your next getaway!

Great space and location!

The property was outstanding! Out of town so nice and quiet but close enough to town to pick up some things. The kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of comfortable bedding. We stayed the weekend when we floated the Huzzah. A short drive away! The hot showers were much appreciated after floating in tbe rain!

Good location for float trips, cute house, not well kept

My family had an excellent float trip. We loved the coziness of the house. It took us a while to clean due to dirt on the floor, dead bugs in closets and bathroom (maybe they had just sprayed?) and debris around patio. I would be careful about staying with small children as the stair and loft banisters were wide enough for children to fit through, and a safety concern. The yard was also long and with ticks being so bad this year, I had to keep the kids on the driveway when playing outside. Fortunately it’s a large driveway but it would have been nice to spend time playing yard games.

Great experience!

Hostess was very accommodating and quickly responded to my requests for info or needs. Beautiful property and cabin. Grandkids had a great time during our short stay in Cuba (was there for a wedding). The washer was not working just prior to our arrival and the host was amazingly accommodating and willing to work with us. Great experience! You will not be disappointed!

Comfy home with lots of space!

Five adults stayed at the cabin to celebrate Easter There is plenty of space to hangout inside and outside. Beds were comfy, kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, and we had plenty of space to hang out. Would definitely stay here again.

Early thanksgiving

The property was great. Close to both Steelville and Cuba but very quiet and peaceful locale. My family did an early Thankgiving for my grandmother who can no longer host herself. The kitchen had everything one would need, the charcoal grill was great, and the rooms were perfect for the family. The host was responsive and accomodating. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect house for our Bachelorette Party Float trip

We just loved it! The kitchen had all the amenities we needed to cook for 11 all weekend. Everything worked, was easy to find. The decor is so cute and has such a comfortable relaxing vibe. We all loved the sinks!! They were different and just gorgeous. Almost like art pieces. The host was so friendly and easy to work with. There was a lot of back and forth as the guest list settled and she worked with me every step of the way. Terrific weekend!! Would go again in a heartbeat.
