We chose this property because it advertised Instant Book, expecting a simple, hassle-free stay for our family of six, including a 7-month-old. Instead, the experience was stressful and unacceptable.Immediately after booking, the host required a background check, photo ID, separate contract, and deposit through a third-party siteânone of which was disclosed in the listing. Upon arrival in Dallas, we were jet-lagged, in a storm, with exhausted kids and a crying baby. The host refused entry until all extra steps were completed. Our Uber driver waited nearly an hour in the rain while we stood outside. When my wife submitted the information, it was denied because the booking was under my name, adding more chaos.The host repeatedly questioned us about guests and vehicles, then enforced a strict contract: no visitors, max two cars, and even a noise monitor inside. For the high price, the home was poorly equippedâonly five towels for six people, a bathroom door that wouldnât close, no outlet in the closet for a safe infant sleep setup, rough sheets, uncomfortable mattresses, and a non-working jacuzzi heater.During the stay, the host spied on us with the cameras discussing deliveries, which felt invasive. The neighborhood in Irving was run-down and did not match the listing impression.Overall, this property is overpriced and misrepresented. Between hidden requirements, strict control, and poor conditions, this was a terrible experience. Families should avoid this listing.
