The room was clean but needed maintenance done. The grout in the shower was peeling/missing in some areas. The shower's inside handle was missing, making it difficult to open when done. There was mild wall damage behind the chair and along the wall where it had been slid across the wall. Mainly noticeable because obvious areas of drywall were showing through the dark-painted wall. The lighting in the room was very dim even though multiple lamps were placed in the room. The bathroom lighting was worse which made it challenging to get ready. The gym was very dusty and no cleaner was provided to clean the gym equipment before or after working out. Also, there was some kind of construction going on in the lobby, which was taped off and covered in plastic. It was decent for the price but slightly disappointed that the hotel did not reflect the reviews that I read. On the upside, the staff was friendly, check-in/out was easy and the bed was clean.

Only 1 elevator was working making floor travel horrible. Had to take the stairs or wait 10minutes everytime. Breakfast tables were filthy. Bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. Hallways smelled musty.

We only spent the night here. We got back to the room late and the air conditioner was not working. We didn't want to change rooms or have someone come look at it that late, so we didn't report it. It would be nice if these things were checked before renting the room. other than that, everything else was fine.

Do not leave anything of value in your room.

Approximately an hour after checking out I contacted the hotel that I left my toiletries bag with my jewelry, makeup and perfume on the bathroom counter along with a tip for the housekeeper. I was informed by the desk clerk the room had already been cleaned by housekeeping and the housekeeper did not see it. I inquired about the tip I left the housekeeper on the bathroom counter but the clerk was not aware. I was assured that the manager would contact me, but after multiple follow up calls, I received no response. Upon contacting the hotel again I was told the manager was unavailable and there was nothing further they could do. While this hotel is conveniently located close to I 35 and offers affordable rates, I advise guest be aware that your items that are not trackable are left at your own risk. If I had left my laptop or any other trackable item, it probably would had been turned in. Definitely my responsibility to check the room prior to checking out but honesty, integrity, and customer service are just a few important factors to consider when booking a hotel.
