We pulled up to the location and the grass was so overgrown and mosquitoes everywhere. Then we use the code to get in the property and there was someone actively living there. It looks like there was trash everywhere and we were scared so we immediately left and we were not able to stay there. I have been trying to contact the house to get a refund, but I have received no feedback. We had to end up getting a hotel.
Worst experience ever ! Do not book this I repeat!! First I get there I thought they double booked me with someone else because it looks like one house but the place is actually at the back of the house . You have to walk threw bushes to get to door. When you first open door itâs stairs that sound like they going to break ! And the worst part THE AC DOSE NOT WORK!! I had to leave couldnât bare the heat. And host dose not respond atall . Only good thing is location and kitchen looks cute .
1. Plumbing issues for the shower. There is dirty water in the tub and it had not receded preventing us from being able to take a shower.2. The central AC did not work. It was 80F the entire night/morning3. Dishes were dirty 4. No clean towels 5. Dirty sheets on bed I am 34 weeks pregnant. Needless to say, we ended our stay early and I havenât gotten any response from the property owner saying anything about a refund or vrbo. First time using vrbo and I am not impressed.
We checked out yesterday. Had I of known it was upstairs I would not have booked this place, I am handicapped and have trouble walking especially climbing stairs. You should mention that in your description. We had no key to lock the door when we went out. Just had to leave it unlocked with all our things in there. Property management did not get back to us. Thank God no one went in. I was not impressed with anything in this property. It was filthy, the dust on the furniture was an inch thick. The trash can in kitchen was disguising and so were the baseboards especially in the bathroom. The whole place needs painting, the walls and doors were gross. The old bath tub was so slick I had to put a towel down to keep from falling. The very few towels and wash cloths that were there were very old and need to be replaced. The pillows and mattresses need to be replaced, very uncomfortable. The yard is a mess and needs to be cleaned up. As you can see I am very unhappy and will write a complaint to vrbo.
My stay here from the moment I arrived was warmly welcomed to the coziness of the unit. The rooms were cozy and beautifully decorated, with plush linens and amenities that exceeded my expectations. The highlight of my stay was everything thereâs even many food and shopping places in the area
The stay was good. The place looked like it was in the listing. The host responded quickly to my questions which was appreciated. Overall, it was in nice condition to stay in for my me and my friends trip. Thank you!
This place was very spacious and convenient, it was a 30 second walk to where all the bars and restaurants are. The place was clean and had everything we needed including parking for my rental. Itâs about a 5-10 min drive from downtown Dallas.
My friends and I came to stay for the weekend and it was perfect for us. There is only one bathroom but other than that we were very pleased with our stay. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and not too far from downtown. Host was very easy to contact and the unit was clean and nicely decorated. Would highly recommend.
The check in was simple and easy. The stairs when you enter need improvement. Also, itâs needs to be more accessible for disabled people. My sister who is disabled had to make sure she didnât fall going up and down the stairs. When I arrived the floor entering the kitchen was sticking. The wall next to the living room was sticky as well. The dishes in the dishwasher were still dirty. I was looking for the second bathroom, thereâs not one. Some of the lamps didnât work. The blinds in the second room need to be fixed. I have video of it upon my arrival also well. This is a 2 1/2 bedroom and 1 bath because the third bedroom looks like a closet with a box fan to cool it down. There was long strands of hair all over my sheets in the first bedroom and bathroom. The parking was ok consisting the area where the home is located. Overall, I paid for a weekend stay so I made the best of what I had. I wouldnât stay there again unless there were improvements made to the unit.
The location of this house can't be beat - however, no where in the description did they say this unit was on the second floor. We had to walk through an overgrown and thorny path just to get to the door on the side of the house. The description says two bathrooms - there is one; and seriously in need of an update. (sink loose on wall, no water pressure in sink, loose tiles on floor, toilet doesn't work all the time). Parking is an issue if another family is staying in the bottom unit as you could not park there and block someone else in or risk being blocked in yourself. The instructions were not at all clear how to work the lock. At the top of the stairs there was a large nail sticking 1/2" out of the floor. (they did fix that immediately when notified).
The description also mentions fluffy towels - they were old and well worn. You had to walk through one bedroom to get to the third which was basically a large closet with a double bed wedged in. It would be great for kids but not another adult or couple. It would also have been nice to have a one page instruction sheet about how to operate the TV, thermostat, check out procedures, etc.
The good news is the beds are very comfortable and the rest of the unit was clean and nicely decorated. The location to the Bishop Arts is excellent - one block away.
Overall we feel we overpaid for subpar accommodations. We visit Bishop Arts often and have stayed in beautiful homes. We will not stay here again.
Overall the location everything is very good.
We came when it was dark so it took us a minute to find the actual door, which is on the side of the house. It is very homey and comfy.
I feel I should say that the smallest bedroom is IN another bedroom. So to get to that bedroom, you have to go through another one.
BRING HOUSE SHOES: there are little nails sticking up from the hard wood floors around the house, about a quarter inch to half inch out. We found 3 by stepping on them, thankfully with shoes, but if we didnât have shoes they definitely would have gone through your foot.
The outlet in the bathroom doesnât work, the toilet has problems flushing sometimes, and the water pressure is like rain (very light).
The beds: the king size bed is VERY comfy but the other two are pretty hard so if thatâs what you like this is great for you.
Even with the cons I would stay here again, not with as many people though. Only one bathroom and 5 people was hard to deal with.
We really enjoyed our stay, great location but was disappointed that it only had one bathroom. Lacked a few creature comforts but other than that it was great. Very roomy, everyone had their own space.
