We had to be switched two times in order to finally be placed into a nice room but the fridge and smoke detector both still did not work. The staff was kind at first until they basically accused us of lying stating that there was nothing wrong with the original room. The manager was only willing to give us money back if we left the hotel a day early, but we could not find another hotel last minute.

The chair and hassock in the room were filthy--black with grease or something. I didn't want to touch it or put anything on it, let alone sit in it. Also, there were black, greasy smudges on the bathroom door. When the bathroom in the room on the floor above was used, the pipes were very loud and sounded like a train coming through. Bed was comfortable, though, and staff were friendly.

Place was quiet, we were on the third floor, so nobody above us. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was not so great, very cramped, and around tub was bad. Could use some healthy choices for breakfast. All in all, not bad place to lay your head.

Good Location, Great Deal, Excellent Staff, Above Average in all regards. Stayed here to stay away from the overpriced, overcrowded, fare for the Ohio State Football game at Illinois.

I thought someone say something about EV chargers?

Hotels.com review mentioned they had Electric Charging Stations and that is why I chose this hotel. They don't have any. I stayed anyway. My room didn't have a garbage can so I put my trash on the bathroom vanity. On the third night I realized room service took my towels and did not replace them. I left without a shower. the room was clean and it is close to the interstate. There are other hotels nearby.

I have stayed here numerous times over the years, and never been grossed out by the dirtiness of the room. There was a build up of something disgusting behind the bathroom faucet. It looked like someone had taken a sledgehammer to the bathroom. It appears fixtures were removed possibly, without any thought in trying to remove them without damage.

Breakfast was just toast and waffles. No eggs no meat no yogurt. Pool was shut down. Elevator was broken. Room was ok. Bathroom was bad. Toilet seat was cracked shower floor was pealing. Will not stay again.

I had stayed at this location a number of times over the years visting family and it was sufficient for a budget hotel. I'm not sure if they are under new ownership, but for the last couple years it has been going downhill. First they closed the pool. I was told by front desk staff at the time that it was to save money. Then they stopped serving the full breakfast. Again, told by the front desk staff that it was to save money. During my last stay earlier this year I had to change rooms due to the smell of animal urine. In the next room I saw a cockroach. I do understand that this can happen in a public facility, and the front desk staff did bring a can of bug spray and sprayed the room. But on this visit I was placed in a room that was not even remotely up to par with Red Roof Inn. The floors were dirty, the bathroom door didn't shut, there was mold and rot on the bathroom wall, the tub was rusted and dirty, the vanity was in poor condition, there was only one washcloth provided and no hand towels, there was no chair for the desk (I work on the road and need a desk for my laptop) and when I inquired at the front desk I was provided a dirty, torn, shabby chair from their office. I certainly would've asked for another room, however the hotel was completely booked. Needless to say, I will not stay there again unless something is done to change the conditions.

I have been in the process of relocating to Illinois from Indiana for one month and a week. I have stayed at several properties clustered in this area. I wish I had discovered this one sooner. This place is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I believe you cannot find a better value in this area
