2 beach options, what could be better!

The check-in was smooth, and was even offered early check-in. WiFi access was terrible, and apparently has been an issue over time according to previous reviews. But
having our teen and young adult kids unplug for the weekend was a plus. The outside could use a a fresh coat of paint, but the inside was niiiice! The fridge should be updated as well. Plenty of supplies, gorgeous views, wrap around balcony’s, I’d definitely stay again. We fished on the beach in calm waters (3ft from the beach to about 300 yards out) behind the house. Then went out the front door, across the street to swim in the gulf.

Beautiful views

Our stay was great for the most part. The place was clean other than occasional sand but we were at the beach so it was expected. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were fully stocked with towels and toilet paper! We never had a good enough internet connection to get the tv to work which sucked when it was raining and at night as we were winding down. The place is more dated than the pictures show. Couches and pillows stained and ripped. The views of the Bay were amazing! If you stay here, make sure you bring water shoes if you plan on getting in the bay because it is very rocky and will cut your feet. The Gulf side is a quick drive or shortish walk. It was beautiful! Overall our trip was great and memories were made!

Peaceful Beauty

When our original vacation plans got canceled we were decided to try something other than a condo. With it being beachfront it was hard to believe we were the only ones on the beach during the week. The ocean side was so clean and a very easy short walk. The house was beautiful and met all our needs. Nice to have 3 bathrooms as our kids seem to be always in the bathroom. Spent most of our time sitting on the porch looking at the bay, birdwatching and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Great place to unplug from the world.

Peaceful Relaxing Home

Great location, a walk away from water on both sides of island. Close to many restaurants and attractions. Good communication with property management. The house was very cozy and spacious. Pictures are very accurate. Only negatives are there is no where to hang clothes in closets, no hooks for towels or hand towels in downstairs bathrooms. There was no counter space for essentials in downstairs bathrooms. There were chairs and a nice table on the main deck however no chairs on the upper rear deck. The WiFi was slow and we could not access our streaming services. There was also sand on the floors when we arrived which is understandable being by the beach however obvious they did not sweep. Other than that our stay was great, everything else in the home was clean and we would stay here again!

Nice getaway

Really enjoyed our stay overall. Foosball table was broken so that was a bummer since it was one of the reasons we picked it. We also couldn’t figure out how to get the satellite cable to work but maybe that was just an operator error. Would stay again though.

Nice house and location

The house is nice. Lots of doors and windows. Love the decks! View of bay and gulf. You can hear the waves from both. The house is clean, but bring slippers. The sand is inevitable and impossible to get rid of when at the beach.The kitchen is fully equipped and has a lot of pretty much everything you are going to need to cook. We did have to purchase extra toilet paper. The stuff that was supplied fell apart and super thin. There's no where to hang handtowels in the bathrooms so I used the nightlight to hang one upstairs. The furniture is comfy as well as the beds. The tvs are great and have Dish or Roku. BBQ pit and hose on the back deck as well and lots of outdoor chairs and table. Note to management...the exhaust fan in the upstairs bathroom does not work along with the air hockey table. The dryer did not dry some towels we washed and the dishwasher needs to be checked. It takes forever and does not dry the dishes at all. Also add towel hooks (like the ones in the upstairs bathroom) next to the pedalstal sinks for hand towels.

Great Place

This is a great place. It faces the bay with gulf views from the many decks. Loved the sunset views from the bay side! It was nice to have room for our whole family, including the doggo. The kitchen was well equipped, including a Keurig. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The one suggestion I would make is to have some sort of shelving, or a small cabinet in the bathrooms as there is no place to store toiletries.

Clean spacious dog-friendly house on the bay

We had a wonderful time at the Malibu beach house - it was very comfortable and spacious and clean! Extra bonus to be on the bay where our dog could frolic in the water. The location is fantastic, steps to the beach. Our only issue was with the slow Wi-Fi (my husband had to work a couple days) and having to use our hot spot. Other than that everything went smoothly.

Stress Free Vacation

The location of the house is great. House is showing signs of age though especially on the deck.

Overall good experience for week with family. Plenty of dishes. House shows signs of aging especially out on deck. Some rails loose so watch kids/animals. Overall beautiful view and private beach access on bay side. Only 2 blocks to gulf side

Spring Break

The house was wonderful and the location was excellent. Tons of room for our family. Only thing i would change is to add towel racks in the main bathroom. Had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend.

Labor Day

The house was great. Of course, rooms were smaller than appeared in photo, but I know the photographers are good at that, still quite sufficient. We had been alerted to bugs and almost offered an emergency house, but were not offered it after talking to the agent. Bugs were minimal. The AC continuously set its own temperature, fortunately it was always colder. Tried to leave it on 75 when we departed, probably didn't hold. Overall it was a great experience and I will use VACASA again in the future.

Lovely cottage on the quiet side of gulf

Place was very pleasant for myself and young adult daughters. Great looking house, nice layout, good flooring, good bedsheets! Loved the balconies and wrap around porches. Very peaceful location. The only things to make this house better: a new refrigerator and a new massive dining table. Thanks for allowing for a great tranquil vacation, we will be back! —MMJ

BEAUTIFUL HOME, with some disappointment

This home is beautiful, spacious,plenty of room porch space, couple of issues the vacuum cleaner didn’t work, but my biggest complaint was the roaches in the kitchen, they need to fumigate it badly, they were on top of refrigerator , in all the drawers. Has to keep food in fridge. So once that figure out this place is perfect! We had a great time!

Overall good experience, house is on the bay side with quiet a distance from the water. Good location from the beach by short drive or by golf cart. Clean house overall except for the small and many roaches in kitchen which we tried spraying for and informing management company but didn’t get a response. Delays in communication with vacasa company who mange the property. Not as efficient as VRBO direct.

Quick Dauphin Island getaway

The house was very spacious and clean. Plenty room inside, and the decks. Parking and location very convenient to beach. Couldn't have picked a better home!
