House was clean, well stocked with anything you need to cook, beach gear Great location with beautiful views. House could use some cosmetic updating but would stay again
Amazing location! two views indeed! Loved the direct, private bay access and short walk across the street to gulf access. House was adequately furnished yet âtiredâ. Needs cosmetic and a few functional upgrades. Would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at âTwo Viewsâ. Beautiful location and the home had everything we needed in the kitchen. The views from the porch are incredible and relaxing. This was our 2nd stay and we will definitely return.
Everything was very pleasant. Had everything one would need for time away. Would highly recommend visiting to anyone wanting a quiet and laid back experience.
This rental had everything we needed. From the front deck you could see the gulf and from the back deck the Mississippi sound. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking any meal. They had a grill, outside shower, beach toys and even a Cornhole game.
Wonderful place to stay for families! Bay side in back and Gulf side in front across the street. We spent time on both sides and loved each. We even saw dolphins 2 different days. A crane liked to hang out front also. The kids loved it! The gulf access is just a short 1/4 mile walk/ride down the road.
House was nice, very roomy. Pet friendly . Someone showed up unannounced while we were out to repair something. Not ok with that. Need to add listings for things to do in the area.
Beautiful property on the bayside with a private beach. Across the street from Gulf. Beautiful porches to enjoy both viewâs including sunrise and sunsets. Bring everything and anything you will need. The amenities are scant and scarce.
The house was very nice. Our chef (Debbie) loved the spacious kitchen. The wraparound deck was my favorite place to begin and end the day. The only negative was the ice maker in fridge didn't work and the Wi-Fi definitely needs an upgrade. That aside I would definitely stay again and recommend it to my friend.
Absolutely what we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed to bake / cook from scratch. The short walk to the beach was magnificent and made it so easy to watch the children / lay the baby down for naps. The weather was windy, and cold some mornings, but we had beautiful sunshine to warm us up. The layout of the home was perfect. Room for all. The children loved playing on the wrap around porch. The sunrise was beautiful every morning, and looking out at the oil rigs at night all lit up was really something special. God bless and thank you for having us.
Annual reunion gathering. First time at Dauphin. Nice house ant a great price. Only complaint is Vacasaâs policy of wanting payment for early checkin / late check out up to a few hours until regular time. Theyâd know at least 24 hrs before and seems to me like they could allow it for free sooner if no one is there and place has already been cleaned.
4.5 stars. View was always uplifting but the sunsets were spectacular. Unit was fairly clean and comfy including the beds, kitchen was better than average. Eating area was small. DI is quiet and family friendly with no traffic and no crowds on beaches. 4.5 instead of 5 given because the living area and bathroom rugs did not appear or feel clean.
We loved our stay at Two Views. The house was immaculate and had everything we could possibly need. There were even numerous beach toys and books for our grandchildren to use. The location is perfect. The back deck faces the bay, and it was fun to walk down to the water and collect shells. The view was spectacular, and it felt very peaceful to look out at the water. The front deck faces the ocean. You have to cross the street to get to the ocean, but the ocean is very close and a quick walk. You can see the ocean from the front deck and kitchen window. I can see why it is called Two Views. We would highly recommend a stay there.
We loved our first trip to Dauphin Island. Great location, quiet, private. Avery few people in the beach compared to the crazy noisy beaches of gulf shores. Location took longer to get to but worth it. Only suggestion, go after Tuesdayâs and before the beginning of the next week. Mondays and Tuesdayâs restaurants are booked for trivia nights. Also, when they say island time, Dauphin Island is no doubt the true example. Everything is slow down there. Go with lots of time to spare!
Grocery before going and try to eat at home every day as itâs nearly impossible to get in anywhere before they close!
Overall everything was fantastic!! Bay is right behind house in which the kids loved looking for shells and walking along the bay. Ocean is across the road. We thought the beach access areas would be a hassle but we backed our truck up almost to the ocean to unload our stuff (not a big issue at all)!! Huge deck around the house (some uncovered and some covered) with plenty of chairs and 2 picnic tables to see bay or ocean. Communication with property manager was fantastic. Our air didnât work when we arrived but with the excellent communication with the property manager the air was fixed in less than an hour of arrival. Will definitely stay in this house in the future!!!
The location is good and the house is cute. Look out if thereâs a storm, the one that blew through when we were there shook the entire house. The beds are comfortable and sitting on the deck looking over the bay is a nice way to start and end the day.
Some things that could be better to live up to previous experience and expectations:
- there is absolutely nothing supplied from a kitchen/ bath perspective so be sure to pack your own napkins, salt & pepper, coffee filters, Kleenex, etc. I expected at least some of these essential items to be available as they are in a hotel.
- bring your own toilet paper, the house supplied off brand is horrible
- donât forget to bring beach towels
- the grill needs to be replaced, itâs too small and only two burners working
- no instructions for the televisions, multiple remotes that do who knows what
Itâs a two view, but across the street from ocean side. Yet the price was very high for off season, which made us expect a little closer to ocean side? It is on gulf side which isnât terrible, but there are a lot of dead animals on the gulf side beach.
Also, the key was a touch hidden in a lockbox and was a frustrating find.
It rained one entire day we were there and the internet connection didnât work during that time. Which made it a long day.
Otherwise the place is clean, good size, and not far away from the ocean side beach.
In the future: Iâd opt for a place closer to the main, public beach- that beach was much much nicer.
Would also go with a company who is more open to early check in, late check out-
This company owns tons of property on this island and is likely less âpeople friendlyâ than private owners (some who we met, and expressed theyâd give us a better deal than we go with early check in times)
Great property on Dauphin Island! My family of 5 and our friends (also family of 5) really enjoyed our week at this home. The house was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen is a great size and has tons of counter space. The bedrooms were all comfortable and easily fit the 10 of us. There was a pull out couch in the living room, but we brought a twin size air mattress for our 5 year old to sleep on. The view on the sound side was great and we enjoyed our own private space to enjoy the sand and water. We rented kayaks and it was great to paddle around the sound. We were bummed when we found out West End beach was closed due to a parking lot project. The house is close to this beach and the house supplied two parking passes so we could park closer to that beach. The house is missing a can opener and scissors in case you need to pack them. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the picnic table under the covered section for meals. There was a corn hole set the kids enjoyed playing with on the deck. There were some beach toys left over from previous rentals along with other odds and ends which was nice! Great place, we would stay again!
