Don't stay here!

It is rare that I leave poor reviews for establishments I give my business to, but I feel like I have no choice when it comes to this place. The reviews given for this motel have to be fake - the staff is NOT highly communicative, the place is NOT comfortable and I did NOT feel safe there. There is nobody on the premises for check in etc. The outside of the place looks seedy and I was told by the guy who seems to care for the place and live on the premises that the lock-boxes for each room's key is the same - which is info I didn't need to know but that I found quite unsettling. My room was around the back and upon 'checking in' I saw people there engaged in questionable activity. I could see daylight around the doorframe from inside of the room and the comforter had stains on it. My boyfriend told me I could decide whether or not we stayed after observing all these things, but I said I didn't feel safe there...and he agreed. So we left. I immediately contacted hotels.com about what had happened and they said they would reach out to the property to request a refund...but hotels.com has been unable to reach anyone at the motel for 4 weeks now. Again, take the good reviews this place has with a grain of salt; I would not recommend staying here and don't believe for a second those who say they would.

Quick beach trip

Nice spot for a quick weekend getaway. I plan on coming back. Super convenient location and clean. Only quirk is key system is a little different.

This is my go-to place when I visit my family in the area. Always clean and beds are super comfy. Easy access to the beach across the street. Nice quiet, safe area of Daytona Beach Shores.
