Employees nice but hotel is dated and has issues
We did try to check in a little early after driving in from Daytona but opted not to pay the $40 early check in fee bc we would only be in the room an hour before we needed to leave again. This was about 1pm. When we arrived later that evening to check in, a room was not ready yet. They tried to give us a room without a pullout couch but we already paid for the deluxe room to include that. We waited until a room was ready; maybe 20-30min. Room is outdated and furniture is old which I can overlook as long as its clean. Bed seemed clean as well as the towels and counters. When I got up the next morning and stepped into the shower I left black footprints in the shower from the floors in the room. I took a washcloth and no matter where I wiped in the room the floor came up black on the cloth. I went to front desk and got a swifter and spray so I could clean the floors myself. Even after this our socks were still black. They need a good floor cleaner or new mops or something. Yuck. The workout room has a broken treadmill, a working recumbent bike and elliptical. No weights. No cleaning supplies in the workout room or towels. Gross. The pool is locked until the manager gets there for the day. There are no towels out there. You have to ask at the front desk. The pool is tiny and there are only two lounge chairs. When we went to use pull out couch it was ziptied onto the couch and unusable. The front desk came to look and said a work order had been put in two months ago.
