We had high hopes, but unfortunately, this stay fell short. We reached out to the host hoping theyâd make things right after finding that several advertised amenities werenât usableâbut the response was basically that we shouldâve contacted them during our stay for repairs. While that might work for some, we were on vacationânot looking to manage maintenance issues. The BBQ didnât work, the fire pit was unusable, the couchâs recliner was broken and sunk in, and the kitchen was stocked with worn-out cookware and hardly any utensils. There were only 2 hand towels in the kitchen, no potholders (I almost burned myself), and a blender with no lid. The dishwasher was broken and barely worked. The kitchen sink wouldnât stop running. We found dried contact lenses on the upstairs bedâgross. The downstairs felt like a fire hazard with blocked windows, the side gate didnât lock, and the back door was hard to shut. Oh, and the toilet paper? One-ply. I donât know about you, but I donât like wiping with sandpaper.Parking was super limitedâtight driveway, and the street was always packed. The house had no âextras,â just basic shelter. Honestly, for the price, my home offers more. If you just need a place to sleep and donât care about comfort or amenities, this could work. Otherwise, Iâd look elsewhere. We took photos, but it won't allow me to upload.
