Beachside Apt 2 is half of a small duplex, furnished in a contemporary, casual style and is an ideal base for singles or a couple looking to explore the island. It has a well-equipped kitchen, living/dining space, separate bedroom with a/c, shower room (note that the shower is the only place where there is running hot water), enclosed patio and small outdoor seating area.
The apartment is conveniently located just steps from a tranquil beach and a few minutes drive (or bus ride) from a wide variety of shops, restaurants and other facilities. Be aware that, although the apartment is just steps from the beach, it is also close to the main coast road, which does mean easy access to public transport but it also means some traffic noise - most guests have said that it wasn't an issue - check the reviews to see what they say about that.
Note that there is reef directly in front of the property, which is fine for snorkeling but for swimming you will have to walk about 50 metres down the beach to your left (in front of the Bikini Beach Bar) or about 150 metres up the beach to your right (in front of Crystal Cove Hotel).

Excellent host. Location is perfect; 20 seconds to the beach, lovely place to sit under a shady tree and watch the sunset. Very pretty flowers around the property. Lots of birds visiting. Apt is well equipped, practical & very comfortable. All appliances in very good working order. Really comfortable bed with gorgeous bed linen plus spare set. Lots of lovely towels including two sets of beach towels per person. Bus stop 2 min walk; supermarket 7 minute walk. Locals are very friendly and and welcoming. Beachside apartments was a fantastic experience. Will be back next year. Mikey & Noreen, Ireland.

A hidden gem

Our host Karen was terrific she met us for check in and gave us lots of great info. The unit was very clean and fully equipped. You can hear a bit of road noise but with access to the beach steps away makes it all tolerable. Especially for the price ! The sunsets are beautiful especially from the special little bench at the beach

Make the reservation while it’s available!!! AMAZING

I cannot say enough about the property, the location, the host. All positives and happy to chat with anyone that needs more info. The street noise that I was concerned about is drowned out by AC. If you want a peaceful time away from the hustle and bustle of big hotels on the beach, this is the place for you!

Beach house seconds from the sea

On arrival, the property was not as we expected it to be, having previously seen the photographs on line. In our opinion it could do with "a lick of paint" throughout. Have that said, it was very clean, tidy and well equipped. Sleeping was an issue, due to the road noise, which started around 5ish am! But again, we guess there isn't an awful lot that can be done about that. On the positive side, Karen was the best host you could ask for, as she was on call and "there" if and whenever we needed anything....nothing was too must trouble. The beach was, as described, a minutes walk away and was very remote with just a few other people on it at any time. We hired a car from the airport, but soon realised that this was not essential due to the fact that there is bus stops very close to the property and the bus service (although very noisey) is second to none. On the whole a very pleasant stay, and a great two weeks holiday. Thank you Karen and Miles.

Great Vacation

Karen, the owner is a lovely lady. The location is out of the hustle & bustle of Holetown, but its only a local bus. I recommended taking a Raggai bus, they are fun & a way to be with the locals. The apartment is about 50 feet (steps) to the gate to the beach. I LOVE the area a peaceful, yet by the Tamarind tree, a beautiful place to read

Beachside was the best place I have stayed in. It is right on a beautiful beach. Close to restaurants and transportation to the city. Karen and Miles have thought of everything you will need during your stay. I cannot say enough good things.

Crop Over holiday

This property is perfect for a solo traveler. Steps from the beach, onsite parking, and a nearby bus stop if you prefer that. It's a short walk to Fitts Village - a market and several restaurants, including the newly opened Bikini Beach bar. The apartment is clean and comfortable - and the owners are delightful. The night is filled with the sounds of the birds/frogs etc. There is also traffic noise from the road, but after the first night - I only noticed the birds. I would recommend it.

HOST MADE VACATION SO WORTHWHILE!!!

The beach in the back yard is such a piece of otherworldly peace. Don't EAT the green baby apples!! Poison. You'll need ear plugs because the tree frogs are loud, but doable with ear plugs. The BEST bed I have everrrrr slept in!!! Shower outside as well, is so well thought of! Karen is such a CARING human.. went to the store to buy me avacados when I got over cold. Stocked my fridge when my plane was delayed!! WHO DOES THAT!! There is dust that will accumulate but I just swept daily. Birds will come, you'll see moneky on beach in tree if lucky and try not to step on baby crabs on beach, so cute! Thank you Karen.

We loved our stay at Beachside! We will definitely stay here again. It’s a beautiful, clean, cozy apartment, and you can’t beat the location! The beach is right there! AC in the bedroom kept us nice and cool at night, shower was nice and hot, and it was quiet! We are from New York City so we don’t mind a little street noise, but honestly didn’t hear the street noise or buses at all. If could want to get away from resort/touristy vibe/ wake up and take a coffee (or a beer ;)) and sit on the beach by yourself- this spot is for you. Swimming was also easy- really a 40 second walk down the beach. We went to the market down the street (10 min walk) and got some essentials so we could just be on the beach all week. But, Roti Den and Wendy’s are great vibes for lunch. Take the bus down to La Cabane for amazing food, drinks, and live music at sunset. Make a reservation- they get busy. Miles was so responsive and helpful! And all above are his rec’s- thank you! There’s nice touches like beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, and snorkeling gear. Can’t wait to come back, thank you!

Perfec, Convenient Place for West Coast.

Realy great place to enjoy the beautiful west coast without spending fortune. Fantastic location with direct access to the romantic beach . Only minutes away from rich and famous beaches of Sandy Lane. Beaches are all connected and public , perfect for long hikes. The cottage is clean, spacious and very comfortable with well equipped kitchen. The bus stop 3 minuts walking distance and only few minuts fun ride to the sweet Holetown for shopping , bars/ restaurants. Bus system in Barbados is great , no car needed . Fantastic hosts of the place also run water sports business providing lots of activities to enjoy those Cristal clean waters. They are very helpful, friendly and professional! Recommending this places very much !

That is what you need in Barbados

Great property in great location. Reef with good snorkel just outside and beach with comfortable entrance for swimming (and another reef) is just 50 meters on the left. Sunsets are gorgeous. This area does not have big hotels or resorts, so it is very quiet and peaceful. Unit has washing machine which was a big plus for us, private parking, and it is easy to drive to any island attractions. Kitchen is well equipped, air conditioning in bedroom helps a lot. Great communications with hosts! Thank you Miles and Karen for letting us stay! Note: make sure to check out the Paynes Bay Fish Market for fresh fish.

2 reizende, gut ausgestattete Bungalows nebeneinander, ideal für befreundete Ehepaare

Kurzer Gartenweg zum Meer, kleine Bucht zum Sitzen, kurzer Weg entlang des Meeres zu einem Sandstrand. Trotzdem ist es empfehlenswert, ein Auto zu mieten (Supermarkt, größere Strände, Sehenswürdigkeiten). Einziger Nachteil: man hört den Lärm der unmittelbar in der Nähe verlaufenden Hauptstraße, wobei die Busse und Motorräder besonders lästig sind.
