Was exactly what we needed for the long wrestling weekend. Was so nice to go and have a plaiof our own to recover without the chaos of a hotel. Excellent communication and easy checking in and out.
It was in a great location for the Art Show. Very clean in an historic neighborhood. Easy check-in/out. The VRBO app is great and allows for quick contact with owners. Watch for the step-down into the bathroom.
Cute place but quite small with a tub rather than shower. Area is urban and a bit rundown. Lower level room that felt dark and dreary. Not comfortable.
Never got any information on getting keys so did a chat with VRBO.
They said they contacted property manager and also gave me the phone number.
Called and talked to him and he was great and gave me the key info and lots of great info on the area but said he never heard anything from VRBO as far as contacting him.
While some may wish to lodge in antiquated amenities I prefer a room with a thermostat instead of space heaters and a walk in shower rather than a claw foot tub. Microwave was not cleaned prior to my arrival because i found an old piece of pizza in there. Floors creaked and tv did not receive any local channels.
The apartment was so clean and neat. It had everything we needed! The room air-conditioned were much appreciated! We loved being walking distance to so many fun locations! We also enjoyed walking through the beautiful, historic neighborhood. Thanks for the stay!
We decided to visit my MIL last minute and found this cozy apartment in Sherman Hill. Great brewery, Lua, just a few blocks away with some fantastic food and beer. The apartment is also situated well to access downtown and the interstate. The property manager was very communicative and helpful.
Property was conveniently located. There is a learning curve for the shower being handheld but would not deter us from staying here again. Full kitchen clean and owner is very nice and communicates well. Flawless stay! Will likely stay here again next year!
Good for short stay's. Very responsive property manager.
The location is ideally suited for a short walk to the Hoyt Sherman Theater and local restaurants. We had a few issues with the unit when we checked in but the property manager quickly got things resolved.
Had a good stay. A couple of issues addressed with the host. Location good for our needs. Host very easy with to deal with, gave us good suggestions for places to go in the neighborhood.
I found this property to stay while enjoying the State Fair for a few days. I had great communication w/ the owner. We got to the property in the dark. My GPS on phone was accurate however when entering it on my GPS in the car it couldn't find it. When we arrived and parked it was a little creepy walking to find the back entrance since we didn't know where to go. Eventually at the top of the step a motion light came on. It was hard to see the lockbox to get the key out and struggled with it. I had left a message on voice mail for Steve and he did call back. It wasn't until in the call that he said he was out of the country. I suggest that both numbers go on to the VRBO site or at least in to the check in message with which was best. The kitchen was clean and nice. Microwave was a little high for my kids (10 and 12 and shorter). The internet we did struggle with not always great connection. Not much for TV, but we weren't there much. Small bedrooms with few outlets so plan accordingly. I was disappointed as I didn't realize the shower was handheld which was difficult. Not much room to stand when curtains closed to shower conveniently but tub was good, just not what we were used to. There was a smell when we came in to the apartment. Mentioned to Steve when we came in. Our noses adjusted to it, but could smell the next night when we came back. Unsure if it was another resident smoking or what but would have been even more of a bother to myself and allergy jinxed children if we spent more time there. Couch isn't the greatest and it's the only real seating. The table had stools but no backs, so after long day of walking around the Fair we couldn't flip on theTV and put up our feet or do much with 3 of us. Limited towels so if you have more than a person or two for more than a day or two you will need to hang your towels as there aren't extras. Also I'm not sure how the air was supposed to work was loud in the bedrooms and in our bedroom would go off and 30 seconds later kick back on. I didn't feel I was getting cooled to the temp I had it set on so nothing in other rooms. Pillows were thick but no other option. It was clean but not my first choice if we ever go back.
The listing on this place says it has air conditioning and 2 bathrooms. It has two AC units and only one bathroom with a tub and a hose (does Not connect to wall). It also had a weird smell. Getting in and out was easy and directions were accurate.
