Great room in which you can open the windows at night, not all hotels have that. Also has a recliner in the room, another feature most hotels do not have. I have stayed at many hotels for my job, and this is my favorite hotel in the Des Moines area!

Two major issues I had. First one being while I was checking in, the woman that was working that was about to leave for the day was talking to the other woman checking me in, when she said “something was r slur” (the word used against intellectually disabled people.) The second major issue I had was when I was looking for something that I had lost in the middle of the night I picked up the mattress and found someone else’s panties there! Were the sheets even changed?!

We checked in to 2 rooms and upon entering the 2nd room, it was not clean. When we called down, she apologized, and said she would get it clean. FOUR hours later, it was still not cleaned and we were told that housekeeping staff was gone for the day. Finally around 6pm we were given a different room.
