Beautiful Beaches and Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved how friendly everyone was at the condominium. The heated pool was very nice and relaxing. The condo was very clean with all the extra's provided (games, reading books, and well stocked kitchen).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit and the condominium complex is a breath of fresh air! If you must go to Destin and you don't like crowds, this is a good option. The unit was clean, well decorated and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. One of the bathrooms is a bit small, but overall it was a pleasant stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved everything about our stay except the sliding back door. It was very difficult to open and close the door. It took two hands to open and close the door. we called maintenance and they came right away and tried to clean and lubricate the track, but it only helped a little. the condo was clean, well-stocked and we enjoyed the location and the view of the ocean from our patio. We won't hesitate to request the condo again. Thank you for a wonderful week stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Silver Dunes has been our summer vacation for over 40 years. We love the location, friendly service and that it’s not a huge sky rise. We also love the evening events. A couple of things to consider: update the gym and bring back the towel service please. The increase in weekly prices should not also mean a cut in service.

Our group used them frequently for shrimp and fish, while having a beer and a cigar. Fun! The two women in the office are very friendly and answered all of the questions quickly.

The location allows easy access to many tourist interests, but most of all the location offers a beautiful beach. The unit was clean and all a customer needed was available. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Each step in the rental process was easy to complete. Each time I had a question the staff in the office was patient and helpful. My wife and I loved the unit design with the big windows overlooking the pool and yet could still see the gulf. The unit was clean and the very small maintenance item we had was quickly handled by the maintenance crew. The location of Silver Dunes, in Destin, allows for a lot walking to various spots. Driving to others areas was very easy in both going east and west. The process of getting in and out of Silver Dunes with a car, is through a sliding gate that was very easy enter and exit. Silver Dunes allows guest to barbeque which we took advantage of on a number of occasions.

Great place, disappointing management changes

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed at Silver Dunes off and on for over 20 years, including the past three years in a row. Unfortunately, they’ve changed their policies and it’s no longer as friendly for large families. We stay there because of the full kitchen that allows us to cook and save money. They now give you one trash bag for a week in a condo that sleeps 8. Only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. It adds another layer of inconvenience and annoyance that is unnecessary. Management has always been helpful and kind in the past. This year they were rigid and uncaring. Great place, clean, comfortable, but poor management.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice but living room pull out bed was broken and unable to use. I really feel these things should be checked prior to renting. A blow up mattress is not a replacement when you pay a premium for a hotel room. Condos should be no different. We reported on Monday and they brought replacement on Wednesday. We had young kids and the bottom of the bed mattress dropped to the floor. We found that out when we sat down on it. When asking for additional towels the front desk would argue if they were managing that room or not. It was confusing. Never had this issue before. George was great as usual!!
