This was an amazing place to stay so close to the beach. I absolutely loved the balcony and the view it had. The host was really good at answering any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this place!
We go to the beach 2x a year for the past 16 years. We also go through Vrbo so this is not our first rodeo.Cons: As soon as you open the door youâre greeted with a very stained and dirty stairs up to the one bedroom. Once upstairs everyone was good until we noticed the sofa was not a pullout. This place is advertised as sleeping for 6, it does not. It sleeps 4. We were a family of 5 and decided to bring 1 friend and did not have enough beds for everyone. I sent the owner a message and she never responded. We cooked pizza the first night, there is not a pizza cutter. The pizza was very hard to cut with the dull knives. The silverware was very greasy. There was a piece of hair on one of the plates and dried food stuck on multiple bowls. We had to wash all the dishes, it was very disappointing. There were only 4 bath towels for our group of 6. We killed a roach coming out of the bathroom on day 3. The water hose hookup was locked up, while all other cottages had hookups available. We had to go through the pool every day to rinse off the sand.Pros: The beach is close and not crowded. The pool is small but clean and decent. The location of the cottage was perfect, close to everything and we would definitely stay at Nantucket Cottages again, just not at this particular one. From the looks at other cottages, there are definitely nicer options available.
Overall a nice place minutes from the oceanfront. It advertises as a 5-person occupancy, but only supplied us with four towels. Communication with the owner was usually prompt, but after two attempts to get more towels, I just gave up. We were told more were coming but never showed. Easy check-out procedures.
If youâre seeking a place to rest, this location would be suitable since itâs conveniently located near the beach. However, we were disappointed with the communication from the host. We had to proactively request property access, a parking pass and instructions, and WiFi access (the internet connection was nonexistent throughout our stay). Reliable internet is a standard expectation for most travelers, and its absence was a considerable inconvenience.Additionally, the iron was of lower quality and leaked all over. Furthermore, there was no dustpan available. Fortunately, we were able to purchase a broom and dustpan for future guests. A comprehensive welcome email sent prior to arrival, containing all necessary details for both check-in and check-out, would alleviate this stress and ensure a smoother start and end to the stay.
This is a perfect spot, close to the grocery stores, alot of restaurants to choose from too! We loved the top floor balcony Short walk to public access to the beach, the pool was great as well. We will definitely come back again!
First, I thought we had booked the upper part of the house since that is what the listing says; however, we walked in to the bottom part of the house and were told by the host that is what was available. We could hear steps above us very frequently even at night.
The house was also not maintained well. A lot of things were broken like drawers or cabinets. The microwave had rust in it. There were not working batteries in some of the remotes, and there was no shampoo (two conditioners were left) or body soap left. There was a stain on the comforter and on the curtains. The patio door was difficult to open and seemed to be held closed by pvc pipe.
While the house was generally cleaned like floors and counters, there was so much dust on the return air vent above the bunk beds as well as sand on the bunk bed stairs. There was also a roach in the closet and a false eyelash stuck to the lamp and a few pieces of trash left.
We ended up leaving a day early due to all the problems. I was so excited to stay at the pink beach house, but it did not meet my expectations at all.
