Blessed vacation

We had a very restful and relaxing vacation. We enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere. The golf cart was a great added amenity but it would have worked even better for us if it had been a 6 seater. The children were excited about sleeping in the bunkbeds but they might need a little maintenance work because the railings were really loose. Also enjoyed the walk to the beach.

Two stars for cleaning

The house wasn’t clean at all ! When we got there it was a lot of dog hair in the couches and floors , As you keep looking you can tell how dirty was , you can tell on the windows than never been clean . The master bath smells bad , in the house description also says beach is 6 min away walking and it’s not ! You have to go around another neighborhood to get access to the beach. Neighborhood looks good and quiet, the pool is also nice ,

My family & I enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The location and neighborhood made us feel safe and being minutes from the beach with a golf cart was a huge bonus. It was also stocked with plenty of beach necessities from lounge to play. It met all our needs and was very accommodating! We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the location and ease of check-in. The house was perfect for our family. It was clean and had everything we needed, and more! The beach chairs, bikes, and yard games were a wonderful surprise! We used the pool, fitness center and pickleball courts. We had a great week in Destin!

Safe, beautiful, easy location

This home is gorgeous! Was conveniently located about a mile from the public access beach so we took the golf cart back and forth which reduced sand messes in our personal car. There is an outdoor shower around back to help remove additional sand before heading inside the house. Kitchen dining and living area are very open which is nice with our little kids. The master bed, bath and closet are giant. Convenient two sink bathroom with lots of space and a large jacuzzi that my 4, 3, and 1 year old enjoyed. Large walk-in shower. Separate toilet area. The closet was large enough we were able to let our 1 year old sleep in there in peace and quiet. There was a pack n play in the master as well. Kids room was great as it had double bunks plus a trundle. The ladder was a little wonky though. Third bedroom and second bathroom were adequate size. Dryer took a while to dry clothes (kids have lots of laundry), so we had to run that a few cycles per load. Also, wish the golf cart was a little larger, it sat 4 while others in the neighborhood had double to triple rows! But either way, was very appreciative of the golf cart. The swimming pool was also beautiful. 3-5ft. It was nice to have the playground next to the swimming area in case some kids wanted to do either activity. Kind of wish the playground didn't have sand as there is plenty of that to experience on the beach :) We hope to return in the future!

Heaven in Destin!

We had a multi-family, multi-generational vacation at Sunset Bay. There were 9 of us total. Sleeping arrangements were slightly complicated by the bed availability and configuaration, but we brought an extra air mattress just to be prepared. The kitchen was large and very clean. We found every utensil we needed during our stay and appliances were in good working order. I only wish there were more kitchen dish towels - we could only find one. Bedrooms and bathrooms were also very clean with very comfortable beds and plenty of bath towels. Location was mostly great. It was a little more of a walk to the beach than I usually prefer, but the community is so beautiful, it was no chore to take a nice stroll. The provided golf cart was a life-saver! If only it were a 6-seater! There was a minor issue with the gate and the gate codes - the walking gate code updated when the month changed, but the drive through did not. We were able to ooen it everytime, we just kept using the old code until it quit working. The patio - the patio was our favorite place in the house!! I can't say enough about the patio! The string lights were perfect when it started getting dark. The fans kept us cool and comfortable. There was plenty of seating for card games or watching tv. It was simply the best!

Sunset Bay

The house was clean and well maintained. Plenty of dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils for cooking in the nice large kitchen. The entire house is very well lit. The bed in the master bedroom was quite comfortable and the master bath was nice with plenty of room.The two couches in the living room weren’t very comfortable for sitting, reading or watching television. The screened rear patio area was great for relaxing, reading, grilling and dining. The bbq grill was great as we cooked several meals outside during our stay. The golf cart provided a nice means of transportation to drive to the beach and nearby restaurants. There were several comfortable beach chairs and a sun umbrella which we appreciated. We would have liked to use the nearby community swimming pool but it wasn’t heated and the temperature was quite chilly, and the jets in the hot tub weren’t functioning so we were unable to enjoy the hot tub. Overall, a very comfortable house, we would probably stay here again.

Will be back

We stayed here with young kids (ages 2 and 4) and it was perfect. Super quick/easy beach access (golf cart was a huge plus) and the property had a bunch of beach toys/chairs which was a huge plus. We loved the quick walk to the pool/pickle ball courts/workout facility/playground. It’s in a prime location so we were able to pack so much in. We loved the backyard patio/outdoor space and the outdoor shower was clutch after a day at the beach. The only thing missing was a pack-and-play which we bought and left at the property so hopefully future guests will benefit from that. 1000% will be back - see ya next year!

House was amazing, location is great. Picking up golf cart key was a hassle but not terrible. House would be perfect with a pool. Representative at community pool was a bit much, somewhat disrespectful but not over the top. Overall I give it a 8 out of 10! Golf cart was a big hit with the kids

Our 2022 Destin Desination

We generally visit the gulf beaches every year in May, but typically rent a beachfront condo. We decided to try something different this year and chose this home in the beautiful community of Destiny East. Having the golf cart to get to the pool and the beach was a huge hit for my 8 year old grandson, and for us as well. We had all the luxuries we expected and more. We found that having a private home to come back to after a day at the beach, is much more pleasant than fighting elevators, etc. Checking out was the same way - just back the car into the garage and load up to leave - no hassle with luggage racks or elevators. This home provides you with everything you need and more. It is comfortable and quiet. We were very impressed all around and plan to return.

FANTASTIC STAY

There were 4 of us (all adults +55). Wonderful, clean and beautiful. Would recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful getaway close to beach and restaurants; pool just around the corner. Beach chairs/umbrella/toys (if you have kids) and a golf cart. Neighborhood is quiet and beautiful.
