The property was undergoing renovations, which was not communicated at the time I made reservations. I learned of the renovations two weeks before my vacation when I read other reviews on the property. I contacted Vacasa property managers and was informed that the renovations would be completed before my arrival. This was inaccurate. There were wires and pipes on the ground, which were trip hazards. Lighting fixtures were broken and on the ground. The walkway around the pool and from the property to the beach access had been removed, which made it difficult to access.The condo unit was spacious but needs updating.
DO NOT BOOK THIS UNIT - THEY BOOKED US AT AN INHABITABLE UNIT (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
The Unit was UNDER CONSTRUCTION and we were allowed to check in. When I notified the customer service rep minutes after we had checked in and complained about the condition of the deck areas, she stated that she had a ticket (dated on 14th) that the construction would still be going on during our booked stay. They offered a 175 discount or offered to move us (10 people with 5 small children) to another unit. The units we were offered would not have accommodated the beds we needed. We also have an email from vacasa (dated Monday the 17th) that they knew the construction would not be done. I was awakened on the morning of the 17th with construction workers climbing on our King Bedroom deck unloading their equipment. The decks were also covered in construction styrofoam and the deck furniture stacked up not able to be used. I have SEVERAL VIDEOS and PICTURES to show that this Unit was not what was advertised (THE POOL AND THE GRILL AREA WAS CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION) and the workers continued to work on the unit throughout our stay. We even had one worker open the deck door to our unit scaring my daughter. And to top all of this....THERE WAS AN URN (FULL) IN..THE...KITCHEN!!!! (WHO DOES THAT???) They applied a 200 refund and when I told them that I was requesting a FULL REFUND and asked for a call from the GM from Vacasa...I received a call (which I recorded) where the GM Did not dispute the claims that we were allowed to check in to a property that was being worked.
Nowhere in this listing did it say our building would be under construction. It was loud and there were several days that we were unable to access our stairs due to construction. This is not truthful at all. One of our guests got a nail in their door. Our cars were filthy and it was not relaxing at all. I want our money back and to be compensated for what we thought would be an enjoyable family vacation.
The unit has dirty carpet upstairs in Hallway and bedrooms. Bathrooms need plaster repaired and painted. Toilet needs replaced upstairs bathroom. Roaches in Kitchen and Bathrooms, need new shower heads. No Pot Holders Kitchen, no garbage bags, need new cookie/roasting pan.
Unit was very worn - needs updated. Moldy shower liners, broken toilet seat, worn out carpets, stained furniture, chipped dishes, beat up pots and pans, etcâŠ
