Ein magischer Ort, geschichtsträchtig und luxuriös
"Das Taj Mahal Palace ist nicht einfach ein luxuriöses Hotel. Es hat eine wunderbare Willkommenskultur, ein abwechslungsreiches kulinarisches Angebot in sehr unterschiedlichen Restaurants, allerfeinstes Frühstück mit Blick auf das Gateway of India und das Meer und ist zentral gelegen mitten in Colaba, Es ist ein historischer Ort, erbaut von einem Mann, der als Inder einst von einem britischen Luxushotel abgewiesen wurde und der daraufhin eins erbaut hat, das Gästen aus allen Ländern zugänglich ist. Diesen Geist hat das Haus aufrecht erhalten. Heute ist es cosmopolitan und zugleich traditionell indisch aufgestellt. Live Sitarmusik in den Fluren, Kerzenlicht und eine Pracht frischer Blumen geben dem Haus eine besondere Aura.
Wir selbst hatten das große Glück, bei dem angebotenen „Heritage Walk“ tiefe Eindrücke von den Epochen und Entwicklungen dieses faszinierenden Ortes zu bekommen. Ein besonderes Dankeschön dafür an Mister Adil.
Extraklasse haben die Zimmer mit Seaview. Wir hatten ein Clubzimmer mit Seaview.
