I NEVER leave reviews. I felt the need at this hotel. We were on a 16 day trip, which we stayed in a different hotel every night from Spain and most of Ireland. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in, annd we stayed in several really nice places. I give it the rating 3 due to comfortable for air conditioner, style of room, mattress decent. The hotel had air conditioning which was a wonderful welcome. The entry and restaurant looked nice. We went to our room and it smelled like the sewer. If we left the bathroom door closed it helped. Prompt service when we called for help on the Nespresso machine. The bathroom had blood splattered across the ceiling. Floor had dirt and looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed. Limited nearby parking.

The Davenport is well situated in Dublin. The area around the hotel is safe and it's close to shopping a places of interest. I'll stay here again when in Dublin.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in years. At check-in, we were given a room that hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. Trash was left behind, and the bed hadn’t been touched. This level of negligence is unacceptable. To make matters worse, on two of the three mornings of our stay, loud construction started at 8 AM, waking us up early and making it impossible to relax. The hotel gave no prior warning—no notice during booking, no mention at check-in, nothing. When we spoke to the manager, our concerns were brushed off with excuses. Apparently, basic communication and accountability are too much to ask. A simple email could’ve prevented all of this. Do yourself a favor: skip the excuses, skip the mess, and stay somewhere that actually values its guests.

This was my second stay and would stay again if I ever get back to Dublin. It’s a beautiful hotel. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The bar/restaurant have excellent food ( somewhat limited). There’s a park down the block with Oscar Wilde statue as he is from this neighborhood. Re

multiple issues: they are under construction; they had a plumbing issues; the rooms are extremely dark; the front desk could not provide a receipt at check-out. Besides a good location, not much reason to stay here.
