We had an incredible stay here. Highly recommend if you want to be in the old city but in a quiet area. Yes, there are lots of stairs, but itâs manageable and can always stop and look around at the history surrounding you if need a break. The hosts were kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The AC units in both bedrooms and living area worked great as we were there during a hot time. Recommend getting the info for porter service if you have large heavy rolling bags. We would stay here again:)
Charming apartment overlooking the walls of Dubrovnik
We absolutely loved this place - unique and charming and a fabulous location inside the walls of Dubrovnik. The top floor terrace has a stunning view over the walls to an island but is still very private, tucked away among the rooftops. The apartment was well stocked and very well organized and in excellent condition. It is a historic building but with all the modern conveniences. You walk out your front door to the magic of Dubrovnik. Thank you Nixon!!!!
Beautifully renovated house in old town and closely located to so many great restaurants and access to the wall surrounding old town. Just a delightful three day stay!
The house is roomy, super clean, and charming. The beds a comfy, and if youâre traveling with a friend like I did, you have plenty of personal space and privacy. It has all that you need and more. Sitting up on the terrace is not only relaxing but the view is lovely.
The location is great.and the host is super caring and communicative. Oh, and she has a book there filled with tons of useful info!
While deep in the old town, it is near the city walls and in a quiet location compared to the bustling streets of the Stradum. The apartment is very nicely equipped, comfortable beds, very nice bathrooms, and the view from the terrace is perfect. If you are staying in Dubrovnik and the apartment is available, Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy this property.
Four of us had a wonderful stay in this apartment in Old town. It is a lot of steps to get up there and it is worth it. The roof deck was a lovely place to hang out during the evenings and the days. Azra was incredibly helpful both before and during our stay. She helped us to arrange activities and shared tips on how to best navigate the city.
What a wonderful location and house. We loved every minute of it. Azra was always in communication and even allowed for a late check out. Kids loved jumping off the rocks and location was steps away from everything. We wish we had a longer stay and look forward to coming back, as this was our favorite stay.
We stayed in Dubrovnik old town for 3 days. This property is located within the walls of old town. There is a long walk from the drop off point and 80 steps to the property. Porter service is definitely recommended. They charge 15 euros/ bag between 9 am -6 pm and 25 euros/ bag out side those hours. Azra provides contact number for the porter service. The house was clean and nicely organized with all the amenities when we arrived.. We were surprised to find a bottle of wine in the fridge for us. Thank you Azra. Only thing to point out is within the house kitchen and small living area is on the ground level, a bed room and bathroom on first level and yet another room with bathroom and terrace on the second level. The location of the property is close to most of the things within old town which was very convenient. Azra was easily reachable by phone most of the time. We would definitely recommend this place. I wanted to clarify that the property amenities does not include a clothes dryer; just a washer and a portable line dryer.
Dubrovnik was an amazing city, and this was an amazing home base for exploration. It's tucked away deep into a quiet pedestrian area, steps away from a literal hole-in-the-(city)-walls bar that looks over the sea, and just a couple hundred twisting meters from Old Town's one and only grocery store.
Looking at the photos, you might ask, "does it really look like that?" On a nice spring day, it absolutely does. And, for the one stormy day we had, the place was nice and cozy. The setting is nothing short of amazing.
Our host was helpful and communicative via WhatsApp, and the stay logistics were super smooth.
I'm already dreaming about coming back.
Loved our get away amongst the Walled City. So nice to go back to our quiet retreat after touring and mingling amongst the hords of day time visitors. We were thankful to have the lovely deck to play cards and drink wine in the evening and drink coffee and wake up in the morning. Hosts were very responsive and gracious. House was spotless. Loved the good beds and pillows. Weâd stay here again for sure.
We had a wonderful stay in this adorable place. It was perfect for our group of 3 adult friends. The place was clean and cute, the beds were comfy, and we loved having the deck. A wonderful location for exploring Dubrovnik and with an ocean view. The manager was responsive and clear in communications and helped us locate rides and porters to bring the luggage to our place (lots of stairs!). We didn't use the kitchen much but it seemed well-appointed, and we appreciated having a washing machine. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to loved ones.
Lovely house, well placed to enjoy the many sights and restaurants in the Old Town. We were 2 couples and we used the large terrace (with comfortable chairs) every afternoon and evening, enjoying the setting sun and the changing light - delightful. Azra was very helpful, responding promptly to any queries and organising taxis and porters
Our stay was great!
Azra helped with airport and porter transport, even though we arrived late in the evening.
We found the apartment wonderful, itâs really a beautiful place to stay.
Thank you Azra!
Location was good, town is small so everything is walkable. Nice terrace with view of the sea and islands. Fantastic help by Azra in arranging transportation, porters and drivers for excursions!
We arrived at airport : we took a taxi to pile gate. Beautiful city. We transported our own luggage . I wouldnât recommended because it was as hard to learn city and it took us 68 year old woman a while to find. I overpacked as well . To many stairs in city : the accommodation was perfect however.
This apartment was everything that was described and more!.... nicely appointed kitchen and great terrace overlooking Old Town wall and Lokrum Island. The location was stunning being just a minute away from the Jesuit Stairs and heart of Old Town and a Buza Bar so close you don your swim trunks, walk a 100 feet and there you are able to have a drink with incredible views and/or jump in the Adriatic! Loved it!
We had a lovely stay at the apartment - it was well appointed with everything we needed, Check-in and out was a breeze. I highly recommend this well located apartment. It is steps away from Buza Bar - a literal hole in the wall - that has amazing views and a very young vibe. Be prepared, there are a LOT of steps from the water front and main city area up to the apartment. But you will not be disappointed in the view from the patio onto the island of Lokrum.
The apartment is quiet and we had restful sleep for our many adventures in Dubrovnik
We absolutely loved this property. So interesting and full of character . The location in the old town is perfect . Close to everything , the stunning and interesting view of Lokrum island and the wall by day , but really quiet at night . The 3 level accommodation with bathrooms on two separate floors really suited us giving us all some privacy. Air conditioning was really a lifesaver in the August heat .
We used the baggage transport company at ploce gate to help us get our big bags to the property.
The house has indeed been impeccably restored. Itâs on three floors with bedrooms up one and up 2 short flights. Kitchen is spacious and complete. The washer was a real convenience and we were able to use the drying rack up on the 3rd floor deck. The deck, which is accessed through the top floor bedroom was a wonderful place to relax in the evening over a glass of wine. Azra, the property manager was a delight! Very accommodating and responsive. She helped us arrange for a porter (which BTW is essential!) we were just a few steps from the Buza Bar, overlooking the Adriatic. And many shops and restaurants were quite close (but with some steps to ascend and descend. Lovely place, great location. We would highly recommend!
What an opportunity to stay within the ancient walls of Dubrovnik. This apartment was so clean, and the air conditioning kept it very cool! Fully furnished with all things you might need, and having a washer for our clothes during a trip over 2 weeks long was so helpful.
The property manager was easy to get a hold of both prior to, and during our stay. It went as easy as it could!
My only surprise was the distance from the gate to the apt. If you have heavy luggage as we did, make sure not to go from the Pile Gate as the steps were killer! I missed that suggestion in their communication with us, so cannot hold it against them at all. It will be a bit of a hike no matter what, and suggest looking into a porter to take your bags. However, the only way to get the view that it offers is to climb high, just be prepared for it.
I highly suggest staying here if you're going to Dubrovnik..it really was a dream!
