Escape from day-to-day life in beautiful Eagle Rock, Va, Enjoy a getaway with vacation options galore. This tranquil, 1930, newly updated, 1-bedroom retreat is tastefully decorated with well known artist, P.BUCKLEY MOSS's original artwork. It has original hardwood floors, and features a spacious well-equipped kitchen, a super comfy Serta pillow top King bed, a recently renovated bath with a walk in shower, a living room with recliners and a fire tv ( just in case), an assortment of games to help you unwind, an extra sleeping area with a comfortable double bed, a reading room to snuggle up with a good book (bring your own or read some of ours) and a front porch with rockers overlooking the pasture and the gorgeous mountains, perfect for enjoying a morning beverage (coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate are provided) or unwinding after a day of exploring. You can enjoy an abundance of wildlife in its natural habitat. We offer a fire pit-complete with s'more fixings, horseshoes, and a goldfish pond. There is a supply of "oh no, I forgot" items. We hope you don't need them, but emergency flashlights, solar lights and basic first aid are available as well. Don't forget to check out the past visitor wall and add your family to it. There is a seemingly endless amount of hiking trails, easy access to rivers and creeks including the pristine Cow pasture river, the picturesque Jackson river, the mighty James river and Craig's creek. Take a little time to ride into Clifton Forge and enjoy walking the streets and checking out the unique stores, restaurants, ACE (a very well stocked hardware store) and wonderful nostalgic ice cream shop. The Eagle Rock Lime kilns, Roaring Run (voted the best falls in Virginia) and ancient Ore furnaces, Clifton Forge Railway Heritage center, Historic Masonic Theatre, Clifton Forge School of the Arts, Humpback bridge, Virginia Safari park and Natural Bridge are short drives away to explore. The D-day memorial, The Greenbriar and Peaks of Otter are less than an hour away too! There are several restaurants available within 5-20 minutes, many more within 30. Fincastle (10 minutes away) has a wonderful Amish store. Grocery delivery is available from Kroger, Food lion and Walmart. Twin Rivers Outfitters is 17 miles away in Buchanan. All of the towns around us have year-round events such as music on the lawn, theatre, holiday parades, festivals and fantastic fireworks in July!
