The place was incredibly cozy and spotless. Itâs conveniently located, not too far from town. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.
When we entered, it seemed too good to be true. So spacious! But all that beautiful space was for us! My college friends and I had a wonderful stay! Fresh blueberry muffins one morning and scones the next made breakfast on the porch a real treat. It was easy to get back and forth to Colgate.Beds were comfy. What more could I ask for!?!
We stayed here for Colgateâs graduation weekend. This property is an easy and close drive to Colgate University. It was clean and nicely decorated. The check in/out process was easy. I would stay here again on my next trip to visit my daughter at Colgate.
We really liked staying here! It was so close to Hamilton and the house had fun eclectic furnishings. Neighborhood had some houses that werenât in the best shape but we felt perfectly safe.
Came in to help my son after surgery. Love the proximity to Colgate (easy 5-10 minute drive). Probably one of my favorite places as far as the decor/aesthetics of a VRBO. It is a duplex and an older building, so you can easily hear movement from the other side. Cute backyard space, too. Note that the only bathroom is upstairs. And because of the house age, the stairs are more narrow and shorter base length.
The host was very easy with which to communicate and always very responsive.
The only odd thing was that the Village of Earlville maintains the pipes by flushing them two days in a row. They started at 9PM and the water looks very brown coming out. It settles by the morning and ran clear. Not that is was a problem, but if itâs that time, take care of all your bathroom needs before they start. đ
Would definitely recommend and it will hopefully be available when we need to stay near Colgate next time.
The place was very cute. Located on a dead end street. Nice and quiet. Not a lot of things to do but had a restaurant/ bar within walking distance. Everyone in town was very nice.would definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay-it was clean, quiet, and close to Colgate. Loved the fun decor! Communication with Mikey was great-fast and prompt responses. Check in/out was super easy.
We arrived to find a dumpy building immediately adjacent to an abandoned house. The abandoned house, complete with broken out windows could have been used as a movie set for a typical " meth head hotel"! The easily forced doors and windows of Casa D Oro meant that any vagrants crashing at the abandoned house could easily gain access to our rental. The friendly welcome letter said the fridge was stocked with locally made Chobani yogurt. There was none. Perhaps the transients who use the next door abandoned house already made a visit? I wouldn't have parked my car overnight there, much less myself. We took the financial loss and got out of there. We had no intention of finding out whether the abandoned house was going to be occupied that night. Even though the owner took pains to decorate the interior, stains on the couch and grimy kitchen appliances spoiled the effect. Steep narrow stairs are needed to get to the bathroom upstairs. If I knew the next door property was so grim and dangerous, I would not have booked. Awful.
