The teal blue front door opens into a cozy foyer, the perfect place for leaving your sandals before entering this lovely home. You’ll walk into a living room with vaulted ceilings and a TV mounted above the mantle of the brick fireplace. To your right, the first of three bedrooms welcomes you with two twin beds. Past the ladder, the second bedroom sits, with a twin bed and view of the expansive backyard. The primary bedroom is at the rear of the home, with private access to a back porch, a wonderful place to eat your breakfast before starting the vacation day. To the left of the living room, enter the kitchen, a unique highlight of this home. With an exposed brick chimney, built in cabinets and beautiful wooden counters, cooking is no longer a chore in this vacation home. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining room, surrounded on three sides by windows with sunlight pouring in. Heading outdoors, the backyard is seemingly endless, with plenty of grass for your four legged friend to run around. Huddle around the fire pit under the stars, or you can even enjoy a meal at the picnic table outback.
Other amenities include a propane grill, an outdoor shower, NEW central AC, and a central location to both the bay, ocean, and ponds of the Cape. Explore the immense beauty of the Outer Cape, while enjoying everything a beach home could offer, at the Smiling Starfish.

Smiling Starfish

We had a wonderful stay at the smiling starfish. The house was clean and neat and fairly close to the beach. The fenced in back yard was fantastic for our dog. The bathroom sink was unusually small, but the shower worked great. It might be nice to put wastebaskets in the bedrooms and living room. Overall a great vacation.

Such a cute little place!

This was a terrific little beach house within walking distance to the beach. We availed ourselves to the fire pit one night and the tv on the one night it rained. Coffee on the back deck in the morning and lunch on the picnic table was so peaceful. Being dog friendly was a huge plus - loved the extra large fenced in back yard! The staff’s communication was courteous and professional throughout. The house was clean and well-stocked with everything we could need.

Lovely Cottage, Perfect Location

Enjoyed our stay here. Loved the short walk to the bay beach for great sunsets and the easy proximity to our favorite national seashore beaches. When we arrived it was perfectly clean which is a huge thumbs up for us! The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked almost all our meals there with no problems.

Great Spot for a Cape Vacation

My wife and I stayed here and loved it! The house was clean and had everything needed to enjoy our stay. We loved being able to take the short walk to the private beach for the day and especially for sunsets. It's a short drive to many other great beaches and towns to explore as well.

Great stay

Amazing location, quick walk to private beach, very clean and cute cottage!! Great large back yard with good hammocking set up and the dogs loved running around out there. Had all of the ammenties that you need and especially loved having the ability to do laundry. Easy check in process. My only small complaint would be the early 9am check out time. Would much prefer 10 or 11 like most other places we've stayed. Thank you so much for allowing dogs!! Its so hard to find places that allow one, let alone 2! We appreciate that so much!!
