I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was rude, and they charge you an extra $60 fee when you check in. I asked what for and they said to cover the cost of the record player in our room, that we didn’t use.
The floors were dirty, and so was the shower. The heater was so loud and kept turning to cold air.
The live music was cool at the attached restaurant, but was so loud and kept us up until really late.
Also very limited parking.
We stayed at The Oxbow and has a really great time! The hotel was very nice, and it was fun to be able to grab a drink (very reasonably priced) in the bar after seeing a show at the Pablo Center. We are looking forward to coming back!
The hotel was fine, there was only one main reason for my rating, and it was the bathroom door. For some reason unknown to me, hotels like to put barn doors on bathrooms now, but this one in particular was really bad. Not only did it roll open 6” on its own and not say closed (no way to lock it either), but there was. 2” gap around the door to the wall anyway. So not good for sights and worse for sounds…so if you’re staying here be prepared to be very comfortable with the person you’re staying with.
Just a cool place. From the record library to the bar. Walking distance of almost everything. My only complaint which is not huge. Is it can be a tad loud at night.
Loved the record player and little shop. Loved “The Local Store” and proximity to restaurants. Bathroom needs some storage. Even a couple of hooks and a shelf would help a lot. Nice water pressure, but the shower pressure hurt our faces.
