Incredible cottage with every amenity you could possibly need. Barbara was a fast communicator (and so lovely!). The cottage is walking distance to town and a leisurely walk to the beach. HIGHLY recommend this stay!

The cottage was lovely and as pictured in the VRBO listing. It is perfectly located between town and the beach. You can walk either direction out of the cottage and catch a free bus into town or to South Beach, on Katama or Herring Creek. The bus can be tracked on the QR code on the VTA map. All is also walking or biking distance if you wish. We would love to stay here again next year.

First time at the Vineyard

The property is a described and show in the picture. Perfect for a long weekend. My wife and I loved how it was set in the back of the property and private. It had everything we needed. Would stay here again for sure.

Every Comfort Considered

This very well-appointed 1-bedroom cottage is the perfect setting for a Martha’s Vineyard stay. The location provides easy access (with a car) to Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. Edgartown is easily bikeable. The cottage is clean and super-comfortable so it’s a pleasure to stay in and enjoy the small deck, patio and lounge chairs too.

A relaxing haven close to South Beach and Edgartown

From our initial contact Barbara was an extremely responsive, warm and wonderful hostess even helping us secure ferry tickets. The light filled cottage is ideally situated an equidistant 5 minute drive between magnificent South Beach and charming Edgartown. We enjoyed exploring the island by day and returning to the serene and relaxing cottage by night.The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans etc as is the bathroom.

A Magical Island Vacation

Our stay at the Edgartown Cottage was just perfect. Barbara was a communicative and attentive host. The cottage was beautiful decorated and had everything we needed - freshly pressed robes, soft towels and a beach picnic basket. The cottage was located within walking distance to town and the beach. We so enjoyed exploring during the day and coming back to a beautiful home at night. We cannot wait to return next season.

The accommodations were in the perfect spot in town and on property - even more lovely in person than depicted online. Our hostess was exceptionally welcoming and kind, which made it all that much better. We will be back!

Perfection

I only write reviews if my expectations, which are high, are exceeded. My time at the cottage was nothing short of glorious. Having rented for over 30 years, this cottage is one of the best. It has location, comfort, amenities and those little touches that make you feel as if you are home. Barbara, the host, is wonderful, generous, is there when you need her but never, ever intrusive. The entire experience was wonderful. I highly recommend.

Perfect cottage to spend our Anniversary!!

This cottage has it all! Private setting, beautifully decorated, and the location can’t be beat! Bring your bikes and the beach and town are a short bike ride on the bike bath! Barbara was the perfect host. Gave us great recommendations for our stay! Beautiful rental and we are looking forward to returning next year!

Quiet, Clean, Great owner

First the owner is a gem, she cared about our stay and paid particular attention to us. The cottage is isolated in the bag of the property and it is quiet around. There are a bunch of extras there that you might not get at another property. You just need to bring yourself, clothes and a toothbrush. It is conveniently located, away from Edgartown. About a mile out of town. If you rent a bike you can get in easily but we just drove around and there was plenty of parking. Don't be concerned there are not a lot of reviews. She just put this on VRBO last year and hasn't had a lot of renters. You can't find a better owner.

Simply fabulous!!

There are SO MANY positives about Barbara's cottage in Katama/Edgartown that it will be effortless to summarize. Newly refurbished, the cottage is a gem that is ideally situated between South Beach (5 min. drive) and Edgartown (5 min. drive/25 in. walk). Everything is high-end and well-thought-out from the privacy of its location from the main house to its private deck patio to all of the fabulous amenities (beautiful outdoor furniture, dishes, pots/pans, a fully stocked bar, shampoo/conditioner, bath robes, NetFlix, etc.). Honestly, it has everything a hotel offers and so much more. BUT, the very best amenity is the OWNER herself. Barbara is a pleasure to have as a host, guide, concierge, etc. Her communication before and during our stay was so appreciated. As a veteran of private rentals, THIS location is in my very top tier and I would highly recommend it for a two-person stay. Simply fabulous.

Quaint cottage in IDEAL location & outfitted beautifully by its owner, an interior decorator!

You won’t find another host or cottage on the island so endearing and top notch, nor a rental process so seamless from start to finish. Barbara was super responsive and friendly from my first contact with her. She would respond with answers right away and would send extra information about the cottage and island without my even having to ask. The cottage is set back back from the main house and surrounded by a border of trees so the house and yard are very private. When you step into the cottage you will immediately feel at home and appreciate Barbara’s interior decorating flair. There is a great kitchen connected to a sitting area and then a roomy bathroom across from the bedroom. Everything is high end from the kitchen appliances to the fixtures in the bathroom to the bedding. The location is amazing - a 5 minute drive or a 10-12 minute bike ride to Main Street in town with the bike path right across the road from the street. And you are a 15 minute bike ride or a five minute drive from one of the best beaches on the island - South Beach. Book this cottage before the calendar fills up!
