Riddle's court

Very clean and comfortable accommodations. Location can't be beat (when the street repairs are finished!). No elevator and 2 flights of spiral stairs so mobility could be an issue. Will stay here again when in Edinburgh, many options of restaurants, bars, activities etc.

David’s place was everything we could ask for in returning to Edinburgh after 30 yrs with our adult children!!! Location

David’s family touches & genealogy. Love, love, love this stay. Ensign Ewart pub across the street with nightly live music was a perfect end to each of our days. The place was spotless on arrival with smell of bleach in the air
which always makes me happy. The rooms were spacious & accommodating. The little nook balcony off of the master with the view of the courtyard was relaxing & my husband’s favorite spot. Edinburgh’s popularity has changed a bit in 30 yrs
to say the least & the mile was being rehabilitated out in front of the apartment leaving less room for the crowds headed to the castle. Midday was a bit overwhelming on the street. That being said
the space was perfect to get out of the bustle & excellent for people watching. The evening & mornings were lovely. I am all in on a five star rating!!! When we return to the city
we will start with the David Hume. Thank you for the hospitality.

Amazing stay on Royal Mile

This was a beautiful condo in a historic part of old town. Walking out the front door you feel like you are in a fairytale. It was close to all of the tourist activities that we hoped to do visit during our stay and was just steps away from Edinburgh castle. There was an adorable diner just downstairs that we visited for lunch. The apartment itself was very comfortable and very large for our family of three. It had lots of cozy blankets and all the amenities you could need. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved this VRBO. It was in the perfect location with so much history. It was very warm with plenty of space for all 6 of us. The stairs weren’t a problem for my mother in-law. We will be booking again when we return!

We could not have been more pleased with the David Hume residence. The location was ideal, right along the Royal Mile and just a couple blocks away from the famed Edinburgh Castle. The walk to the main train station and light rail to the airport is super easy. The unit was quiet and comfortable and near plenty of restaurants, pubs & shops. We had 4 adults sharing the accommodations for 5 days and would have been perfectly comfortable to stay another couple weeks. If we plan a return trip to Edinburgh (highly possible), we’ll begin our plans with availability of this flat

Location!

The location was amazing with spacious rooms and comfortable beds!! We were in walking distance of all of the main attractions. The balcony was stunning and all of the rooms were clean. The host David was helpful and made the trip easier. I would definitely recommend this place for others. **Side note: The taxi ride from the airport cost us around 60 pounds for 4 people and all of our luggage.

Perfect location and great amenities

Wonderful three night stay in Edinburg with my son. Great apartment with all the amenities needed for a great stay. Close to everything right on the mile. Communication with David was excellent with rapid responses. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone who would like to visit Edinburg!

Historic charmer

The apartment was as we expected it to be. Amazing location in the middle of the Old Town but still kept fairly quiet by double glazing. The stairs were challenging to get suitcases up and down but we did it. The apartment was warm, cosy and quite well equipped. Would stay there again.

Fantastic location, great apartment!

Spacious, quiet and comfortable two bedroom in a perfect, historic location on the Royal mile just steps from the Edinburgh castle and with many restaurants close by. Modern bathrooms and kitchen, washing machine. Be advised you will need to carry your bags up two flights but this was not a major issue for our group. The manager was responsive and friendly. Definitely recommend staying in this apartment!

Quiet, but in the thick of Edinburgh!

We booked this place months before we were heading to Scotland. I wondered if it was going to be as nice as it looked, and it was!! It was right on the Royal Mile, charming, clean, and so historical! We were midway though our trip, so the laundry was so appreciated. You need to be able to handle stairs, as there’s no elevator. Looking out the back window, we felt like we were back in 15th century Edinburgh. Thank you for making this available.

Beautiful Apartment

A fantastic apartment situated on the Royal Mile with excellent facilities. Everything we needed was there, lots of room and although there were only 3 of us could easily have accommodated 6 people by using the sofa bed, as listed. The location could not have been any better, so central and lots of lovely pubs and restaurants around. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone going to Edinburgh!

The David Hume residence apartment in Old Town was a great find. Location was perfect to see the sights of the Royal Mile and it was directly across the street from the hop on-hop off tour bus stop. The apartment was spacious enough for a family of 4, with wi-fi, very clean and comfortable. Loved the sitting porch off the master bedroom. Entering the courtyard and walking up the two flights of circular steps made us feel we were entering into the past. Just a wonderful, magical experience that we would absolutely come back to.
