I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The rooms were super spacious - something you won’t find in downtown! Honestly, if we were to do Edinburgh again, we would stay here and just drive to the city. The restaurant was amazing and the decor is just so luxurious!
The most amazing Caesar salad and sticky toffee pudding!
Beautiful decor - makes you feel like you’re in a very special place!
Bedroom does not come with a hairy coo (that’s mine) but it is hairy coo approved!

The room was clean and comfortable, and had a lovely soothing feel. If you need bright lights, this might not be your spot. But if you like a quiet and calming environment, you'll be happy here! Also - very comfortable and welcoming pub/restaurant.

Only one night there before flying home to the IS after a month in Europe. Having such great responsiveness and friendly service from all staff... and beautiful and comfortable furnishings and decor... it was a real treat! Next time we'll come with more time at the Dakota!

The hotel was very clean, but we hated the black and grey décor. It made the hotel very dark. It was so depressing. We knew the hotel was black on the outside, but hadn't realised it would be black inside.

The hotel was lovely and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. It was a little bit farther from the airport then I thought, but they have a shuttle service that will take you to the airport. You just need to book your spot in advance. The hotel was within walking distance to the village of South Queensferry and made for a nice afternoon of site seeing.

We really liked the Dakota, however, one of the main reasons we booked there was because they advertised a shuttle to the Airport, and we had an early morning flight. We were informed by staff that there was no shuttle available, which was disappointing. When questioned, the staff member said that in the advertisement it says, "when available". The taxi cost $28 (taxi called by the hotel).
