The apartment itself is okay. The beds are uncomfortable, the pull out couch has a urine stain on it, all of the doors are weighted so they slam and you can hear it from your neighbors. The washing machine provided ruined one of my sweaters with stains from the detergent and the cycle to wash and dry takes about 8 hours. The view is nice but thatâs about the only high point of this property. There is no elevator so you will have to climb three flights of stairs with all of your luggage. They will not let you know about parking, you have to ask. When we arrived we did ask and they had us driving around for 1.5 hour looking for something that wasnât there only to finally tell us they had a private parking lot. We went in the office to let them know we had a bad experience and they just told us âOk, have a nice dayâ.
Extremely conveniently located in the city for reaching all the nearby museums, galleries, Calton Hill etc and 5 minutes walk from Waverley Station. Apartment is gorgeous, has everything you need for a short stay and was very comfortable. Excellent!
Loved Edinburgh of course, Chisholm Hunter Suites are excellent, would have been good to spend a lazy day inside but too much to do and see. Couldn't get a late check-out which would have been very helpful, but had luggage storage at the office nearby, and light rail to airport just outside.
Great apartment in an excellent central location. Comfy and very clean. A fantastic place to stay for a long weekend as a couple. Only points to raise, not a fault of the property but to help others in decisions, the property is in an old building and therefore no lift if you need one. Stairs are steep and three flights if in top floor as we were. Also right on Princess Street so if not wanting to hear the city then stay further away! Overall an excellent place to stay should you wish to enjoy the city centre on your doorstep.
We could see the castle from our window! Even though it was on a busy road, the bedrooms were at the back, and were very quiet. Everything was clean and tidy.
Couldnât have asked for a better location during our stay in Edinburgh. From the apartment windows you have just about the best view of the castle in town. People stop on the street two floors below to take this picture, and itâs all yours. Nice and spacious inside, though the doors throughout the apt are quite heavy and want to stay very shut. Good-sized kitchenette and comfortable seating. Did I mention the incredible view?! Princes Street is directly below the apt, and can be pretty lively until late. Numerous delicious restaurants and interesting bars nearby, particularly on Rose St. Walkable to all of the New/Old Town sites, tram stop right up the street. Price tag was pretty steep, though T.Swift was in town, and most places were pretty spendy. Wish we could live there, but alasâŠ
Did not like that you have to carry your heavy Heavy Luggage up alot alot of steps. I had knee problems and it did not help with all those damn steps!!!
The perfect location for visiting Edinburgh. Apartment spacious, very quiet and comfortable. Easy to walk or take nearby Tram to explore and enjoy the city. Office staff friendly and welcoming. Helpful to be able to do laundry.
