I stayed at this property with a colleague for two weeks. The place has a lot of potential and could be really lovely if it were given a bit more care. Unfortunately, the main issue was the shower — the water drained very slowly from day one, and by the end of our stay it was so bad we had to turn the water off repeatedly just to avoid flooding. It meant we never really got to enjoy a proper shower the whole time we were there.
The kitchen was well equipped, but the knives were so blunt it made cooking frustrating. Heating worked well and the house could feel quite cosy, but little details let it down — several lamps had broken bulbs, the curtain rails were loose, and the fake flowers were dusty.
Beds were comfortable and clean, which was appreciated. However, halfway through our stay we ran out of loo roll and were told it’s only provided for the first night — which felt a bit unreasonable.
Overall, it’s not terrible, but it definitely needs more attention and maintenance. For a short stay it might be fine, but for a longer visit, I’d suggest finding somewhere you can properly relax and enjoy a decent shower after a long day.
Location is great though and we managed to walk to most places.
