We enjoyed our brief stay in the quiet village of East Linton. The welcome and food was very good and the room, cosy. However, the room was very hot and lacked an ensuite. We had to venture out across a corridor to a private bathroom; this was not made clear at the booking stage.

A very good 3 day stay.

Great location with easy access by car or rail. Excellent location for visiting Edinburugh. Spacious clean rooms with good facilities. Nice pibe with good food and friendly atmosphere. Staff friendly and very hlpful. Definitely will return.

Great place to stay

We had a great stay here. All the staff were friendly, we loved our room with the ensuite, the pub had lots of atmosphere and we really enjoyed our dinner. The breakfast was the best breakfast we've had so far - everything was tasty and piping hot. Thanks.

Unfortunate incident.

Lovely room, great food and friendly staff. Unfortunately due to a leak coming from the room above, water flooded into our room through the ceiling. The bar manager came very promptly and dealt with it the best that he could but unfortunately we had to vacate the property for the remaining 2 nights of our stay. He contacted us the next day regarding the issue and as it could not be resolved it was agreed we would receivet a refund.

Great stay in East Lothian

The food in the restaurant was superb and had a wide variety of choices that worked for us (vegetarian). The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. Staff was friendly. We had a room that had a private bathroom (not en-suite) that needed a bit of work. Only down-side was there were no towels when we arrived. We asked, but none appeared. Evening staff was very busy in the bar that was packed and I think they were short staffed, so somewhat understandable.

Besides a dirty pillow and dirty coffee/tea pots it was a nice stay. Very quiet and cozy. I like the decor but not a separate bathroom. Turns out only one room has a bathroom outside of the room.
