Maple Crest is a beautifully restored home built in 1929, with a gourmet kitchen, updated bathrooms, and beautiful decor. Plus it has dedicated fiber optic internet/WiFi, and is dog friendly!
Our family stayed for a holiday getaway trip, and the home was tastefully decorated for Christmas with ornaments, poinsettias, mistletoe, and wreaths that were perfect for the time period of the house. Our Golden Russell, Leo, loved running around the field behind the house and appreciated the large water bowl waiting on him in the kitchen.
Because I love to cook, I thoroughly enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen, and my family loved the little breakfast nook and watching the birds just outside the window on the feeder.
Relaxing with a warm drink by the fireplace and the light of the Christmas tree was magical. The comfortable beds and furniture blend with, and do not detract from Maple Crest's historic charm.
Maple Crest is also convenient to many cultural and historical points of interest - President James Madison's Montpelier is only a short drive, and Thomas Jefferson's Monticello is less than 30 minutes away. There are multiple wineries, craft breweries, and unique shops in the surrounding small towns.
Our trip was unfortunately cut short due to matters at home - but we definitely hope to come back and visit Maple Crest again - thank you John & Gaby!
