I have been vacationing in Blue Ridge 2013. I have stayed in the Coosawattee River Resort at least 3 other times. I feel as if it my duty to inform some serious discrepancies from the reviews that are left about this property. First, communication with the property owner is sporadic. She responds when she wants. Booked this cabin back in March and I was told that the hot tub did not work because of a previous guest damaging it. When I reconnected with the property owner, she explained that it was still broken with a hole ripped in it. When we arrived for our stay, the owner explained the entry process for the resort, which I knew. The front gate did not have any information of our stay but took our Vrbo information as proof. When driving to the cabin, it is a regular road in the resort until you reach the address display which is recessed from the road. The cabin was dusty, dirty and full of cobwebs. I informed that the trash had not been picked up. We noticed the dishwasher was run and hadn't been emptied. As a guest, the home should not require any cleaning. We always bring our own supplies to a cabin such as toilet paper, paper towels, pots, pans and anything we may need. Items molding in the dishwasher. I had to clean the kitchen better than any cleaner would do. I have pictures to show what the cabin looked like. Not to mention the metal and rebar I had to pull from the driveway. I felt misled about this property and don't recommend staying here until things change.
