I don’t usually leave reviews, but I enjoyed my month long stay here for March in this dog friendly home so much that I had to write one. This home is located in a gated community. The host left a gate key for me to use during my stay that made coming and going very easy. The area is very quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. It’s rustic but has all the amenities needed to make it very comfortable. There is a deck that wraps around two sides of the home with beautiful views through the forest and of surrounding mountain peaks. The tree leaves were just starting to bud while I was there, so I could see pretty far into the distance. The deck is closed on each end and accessible only through 3 different interior doors with plenty of windows, so I could let my beagle sit outside and bathe in the sun without worry she would escape. The roads through the community are narrow, curvy, and steep. This is not something I was used to coming from Chicago where the roads are generally level and straight. It took a bit of getting used to, but then became fun driving through the area. There were many days my dog and I didn’t even need to leave the community. The streets were quiet enough that we could walk on them and even found a couple of trails to explore. I also saw small groups of deer wandering around several times. I would definitely stay here again.
