Ideal in town location, quiet and clean.Nicely renovated, but does have some quirks attributed to age.(donât we all!) Great towels and sheets. Bed a little too soft for us. Living room furniture not very cozy/comfortable(sofa).
The cottage was very cute and comfortable. One block from town making it easy to walk to shopping and dining. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our breakfast every morning. Beds were comfortable, had a washer and dryer, and there were plenty of supplies for laundry, dishwashing, etc. Also provided soap and shampoo. On our last day we walked to the farmers market one block away. It was lovely. I would definitely stay there again!
A well-appointed, charming bungalow in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the town square. The front porch was perfect for relaxing with coffee and drinks. The owners/managers were very responsive to questions before our trip and also checked in after we arrived to make sure everything was going well. We'd happily stay here again
Overall, we loved the little house. The kitchen was fabulous, location was perfect, however there were a couple of things we were a little disappointed in. The furniture in the living room was cute, but not comfortable for winding down at the end of the day, watching tv or just chatting.
As I reported at the time of our departure, plumbing issues in the front bedroom bath. The toilet "bubbled" during showering and after showering would not flush. Had to use the plunger several times to make it flush. I understand it is an old house and appreciate that quaintness, but plumbing is an essential to be working properly.
While experiencing this, we would definitely consider staying this location again, given the plumbing worked properly.
The bungalow was in a good area close to every thing. We could walk everywhere in downtown Ellijay. The only problem we had was one of the toilets kept stopping up and we had to be very careful with it.
Everything was as advertised! House was just what we needed and the location is perfect! Met the owner next door and she was gracious and informative about where to eat and go! We will come back!
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is conveniently located to the beautiful town. Ellijay has cute shops and great restaurants. We look forward to coming back again next fall.
My husband and I spent Thanksgiving in this charming little cottage. It is less than a block off the main square of Ellijay and we enjoyed being so close to the charming little town we love so much! The house was neat, clean and well equipped for our stay. We cooked a full Thanksgiving meal and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook such a large meal. The decor was warm and inviting. The beds were some of the most comfortable we've slept in while vacationing. We enjoyed sunny afternoons on the porch with our pups.
This is on our top 5 list of places to stay in Ellijay and we look forward to staying here again!
I booked this property as an alternative to a hotel for a business colleague and myself. It had everything we needed that a hotel could provide, and more, but at a fraction of the cost of two hotel rooms.
We each had a bedroom and an ensuite bathroom and being in the town centre area all our other requirements were met.
We had a very late arrival (early hours of the morning after a tiresome journey and the lights were on to welcome us as we arrived.
Excellent quality property, shame we werenât tourists.
We were happy with our accommodations, within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The home was nice and clean. Only issues were no back porch light for nights taking out my little dogs for potty. Also the rug was so slippery I rolled it up and put it out of the way. We took the train in Blue Ridge on Saturday and unfortunately my gf fell and busted her lip and front teeth so we ended up leaving 3 days early. âčïž happily she is okay.
Well, our stay was pleasant even though we didnât get to stay where we had originally booked. The place we booked had a maintenance emergency, but the property manager arranged for us to stay elsewhere and it turned out to be charming and very comfortable.
Great property, exactly what we were looking for. Visiting daughter & grandkids in area. Great location, within short walking distance to downtown Ellijay with many great places to eat & shop.
Only changes I would suggest
1) need ceiling fans in bedrooms, with doors closed gets a bit stuffy.
2) House sleeps four but only two chairs on front porch. We spent a fair amount of time on porch in morning and evening. Had to carry two chairs from kitchen for other two guests.
Will probably stay again in the future!
We have stayed at the property previously. We will stay there again! The location is excellent. Description of the property on VRBO is accurate. Everybody in the town is friendly. Donât miss the Saturday Farmers Market.
