Was absolutely amazing! The owner was very nice and accommodating and would recommend. I came for a friend's birthday as well as Acadia park for a weekend, was worth the 5 hour drive.
The property was clean and the bathroom modern. The arrangement of having the bathroom between the two bedrooms was a little strange but it worked. We had to rearrange where the fridge and air conditioner were plugged in because the power strip the air conditioner was plugged into could not carry the load and kept cutting off. We plugged it directly into the wall and used the strip to plug in the fridge. After that the air conditioner worked and so did the fridge. The cottage is about 40 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia but convenient to Ellsworth. Traffic was light. We would stay in the accommodation again.
Good location. Very easy to check in and quick communication with the host. The place fit us perfectly! The air conditioner was a bit loud and the room felt a little damp. Other than that, it was a very cozy stay!
Spent a night here on the way back from a week of tent camping in Acadia national park. Just needed someplace where we could shower and sleep in a bed and this place fit the bill for my family of 6.
Fun small two bedroom cottage. I searched Bar Harbor. It came up but was 30 miles and 45 plus minutes outside. It worked for us because we were heading back to Boston. Easy to get in. The main door did not lock from the inside and the other bedroom did not have a working fire alarm (it was missing off the ceiling). Also the air was off but that allowed for the room to get very humid. If you are looking for a quick stay or only need a room, it is great.
Nice stay at The White Cottage outside of town. Headed out our second day and discovered what we believe was a ground hog watching us curiously. Communication with the host was great as we left an item and he alerted us within a very short time.
The unit was easy to access, the bedrooms were clean, and the abundance of towels appreciated. Only two extra blankets worked, but thankfully it was not colder. The bathroom was the problem: A large leak came from the cold water behind the sink, making the floor slippery. Fortunately there were towels to sop it up. Perhaps the sink had not been use recently and the seals leaked? Black mold in the tub and an exhaust fan that may never have been cleaned were problems. We had no way to contact the owner, and the Verb website would not recognize the password, which had to be repeatedly changed to get into the site at all. I'm done with Vrbo. The Hilton ads are right on.
The beds in the second room are a tight fit, you can't enter the room from the bathroom without stepping to the side to close the door but it's not the end of the world. We really only slept in the room and that part was fine.
The cottage was clean, smelled fresh and was welcoming. There were items that needed to be fixed like to outside lamp post, the shower knob came off in your hand and the TV (Roku) in the 2 bed room was broken. Definate repairs were needed but in spite of those the place was very clean and all linens and decor were clean and fresh
The cottage was clean and provided the necessary toiletries. The property was fairly rural and quite but a short drive to Ellsworth, which had nice restaurants and breweries. It was a reasonable drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor and was a lot less expensive.
Loved the set back location of this house. The rooms were all spotless and the beds comfortable. The only problem was we thought by pictures there was an automatic drip coffee machine when in fact there was a Keurig. Luckily you left six coffee K-cup brewers....THANKS!
