Overall, the property was great - the main space (including kitchen, seating area) was open and comfortable. The porch overlooking the cove was great - lots of seating and beautiful views. We wish we knew (and maybe it was an oversight on our part) that we were on a cove that ebbed and flowed with tides so kayaking from the yard was only available a few hours a day which meant you needed to schedule that activity around high tide.
Our biggest complaint - and itâs a big one - is that the smoke alarms went off in the middle of the night (11PM, 2AM, etc.) 4 times over the span of 5 nights for no reason. The letter left for guests noted that it may happen and given that it is a recurring issue that the property is aware of, we think it should have been disclosed in the write-up if it canât be fixed. Luckily we werenât traveling with an infant or a toddler, otherwise if would have ruined our trip.
A few other thoughts - we cooked most meals at home and the kitchen was very well stocked.
Ample towels were available.
At first, we thought all the labeling of cabinets, electric switches, etc. was excessive but, we did appreciate it as it made it very easy to find things and took the guess work out of operating some of the appliances, etc.
Overall, a really nice property and stay.
