First, I must say the mattresses could definitely use some updating. I believe they are memory foam, but it took me two nights to realize I was sleeping in a hole in one of them. They’re not very level. With that being said, everything else was excellent. The house is much larger in person than it looks like in pictures and the location is perfect. If you don’t want to be too close to the city. Anytime I had to communicate with the owner I got a response within a few minutes. It was a very nice experience and I will definitely stay there again.

Sleeping Bear

This is a 5 star stay that we will go back too with friends and family. We will share and promote SB because we had such a great time. Only gave 4 starts due to the grill. The cleaning service does a great job except the grill had not been cleaned in an unusually long time. Almost a whole roll of paper towels and 2 scrubbies we had in our trip bag.Probably need to just replace that and make sure cleaning looks at it.Just noting the grill for owner reference. Do not and I mean do not let that stop you from coming here. You will only regret it if you do not book this place. I have not been this relaxed and happy in such a long time. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Bayshore Marathon & 10k Sleeping Bear Lair Weekend

Absolutely perfect space and property! I wish we all could have stayed longer. Everything needed was laid out impeccably! A couple of small items: the amount of toilet paper was insufficient -- what was described was, 3 rolls would be provided in each bathroom. Instead each bathroom had only partial rolls. We had to go out to purchase more! Paper towel was also in short supply.Other then these small items, we all loved the Sleeping Bear Lair... It helped us all get rested and ready for race day!

Cozy and Clean

We had a great stay with our family group of 9. We appreciated that the cabin was set up to accommodate that many-plenty of dishes, enough seating at the table, and even enough room to all gather and relax by the fire in the living room. The location is great as well. We enjoyed walks in the woods on the property, playing corn hole and football outside, and visiting nearby Glen Arbor for shopping, wine tasting, and hiking. The cabin is clean and nicely decorated. The beds are very comfortable! The hosts were great communicators. I highly recommend this place!

Amazing stay

Our group had an amazing time at this property. We had 6 adults, 2 toddlers, and 2 infants and there was plenty of space for all of us. The property was very clean, something very important to us with the babies on the ground. Check in was very easy and we had a couple of questions throughout the week that Michael was very prompt to respond to. The location was perfect, very centrally located to everything we wanted to do so nothing was more than 20-25 minutes away. The property makes you feel like you’re in the wooded mountains, but then you can drive to the beach very quickly! It really is the best of both worlds.

The house and property were beautiful. Location between Sleeping Bear and Traverse City was great. We even took a day trip up to Mackinac Island one day. Communication from the host was fantastic. He replied to every issue promptly. When the gas grill wasn’t working very well, he ordered a new one and had it delivered the next day. The only negative comment we have is that the grass hadn’t been mowed so we couldn’t play yard games that we had brought with us. The host tried to remedy that issue but the mowing crew never showed up. Overall, though, we would definitely recommend this property.

Host very easy to get hold of. House has small attention to detail. Centrallly located to many attractions. Had a great stay for a 50th Girls weekend. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely cabin

We had a wonderful time staying at this spacious but cozy cabin. It was nice and quiet but close to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City but was also comfy to just relax and stay in during bad weather.
