A hotel I have known for years and years

Pros: The landlord is cheery and you can get pub grub there if that is what you want, which is edible.
Cons: The bedrooms, but that has always been the way with this pub.
Location: Shops including chemist, fishmonger etc., and there is a very good Indian, the small one, not the big one, although they reside side by side.
The Crown is central in Emsworth so handy for the shops and has a good and plentiful car park. It's one of those places that you yearn to see have a good makeover, and has over the years had some face lifting but the rooms do not still have a nice feel about them. I have stayed in several over the years from very very grotty years ago to the facelift days to now when they need looking at again. Or at least the one I had needed a good facelift. The building does not allow for nice en-suites, my room had something as big as a wardrobe as an en-suite, and to compensate it would be nice to have nice tiling, a better shower and swop the taps from those plastic topped ones of the early 70's. £500 on this room would make people feel better about it. At £80 for my stay that was enough considering there is no breakfast with that price. All I can say really.
