Everything was absolutely excellent except food in the bar was closed much earlier than we were told. I rang ahead to check about bar food specifically and I was told that it would be 8:45 would be the last service. When I checked in I was told at the desk the exact same time. However, when I went to the bar at 7:15 and asked for a food menu they told us that they had finished at 7pm which was really disappointing.

Staff were brilliant. Car park was flooded along with fitness centre and they took everything in their stride. No panicking, no outburst of frustration, they just kept their cool and offered great customer service. Very well done to all involved, great credit to the hotel.

The staff were all lovely. The room was a good size. The only negative would be that there was no Netflix on the TV's in the room. The pool was lovely and clean. The playground beside the hotel was great. The weather wasn't good during our stay and besides the pool there wasn't any other indoor activities for children.

Worst thing is getting to your room a mile away from reception, only to find that the room keys don't work on the last day. This is despite the hotel bill being prepaid. Are they expecting us to walk off with the 10 year old telly? It's a terrible practise, and certainly not unique to this hotel, where the stay was otherwise fine and the bar food pretty good.
