Nice but pricey
This is an enjoyable house, a former mill. The outdoor area is gorgeous, a fireplace/grill, lots of wood and starter blocks, a lawn, herbs, privacy. The house is spacious but very dark - the ground floor has exactly 1 small window. It gets chilly, and the only wood-burning stove is in the kitchen. When the weather is good that is no problem, but I'd hate to stay here for a week when it is cold and rainy. The furniture is very old, it looks OK until you sit on it. And at this price I was surprised that there is no dishwasher. There is supposed to be a washing machine in the shed, but we never managed to open that. The bathroom is good, the bedrooms are good although hard mattresses. Julio's English-speaking helper was great, she picked us up when we got lost and was a great source of information. We were told (afterwards) that if you try to find the place using Google Maps you'll fail, use Google Earth instead. We asked repeatedly for directions, but never got them. Anyway, we were rescued... We enjoyed our stay but there is plenty room for improvement.
