We are delighted you are considering visiting our home that is located on Prospect mountain in Estes Park, Colorado. It is within walking distance to shopping, food and entertainment. After spending a day in our Majestic Rocky Mountain National Park which is only a few miles to the entrance, enjoying a game of putt-putt golf, water bumper cars, arcades or ropes coarse just down the street and also within walking distance of the house, you can retreat to our comfortable mountain home that is nestled among boulders and pine trees to relax in the hot tub with views of the mountains. It has a fully furnished kitchen, two bedrooms, a game room loft that accommodates extra sleeping space, a living/sitting area in the open concept kitchen & dinning room and a laundry room with a washer and dryer for your use. There is high speed wireless internet for those still needing to work or teens going through gaming withdraws and televisions located in each bedroom, the dinning room and the game room with free channels and apps you can log into using your accounts. Our home is a great retreat for couples or a fun place to stay for families (please note there are stairs for those with toddlers but a gate is available). We are located less than 2 miles from the recreation center that has lap, diving, kiddie and lazy river pools along with exercise equipment, classes and walking lanes. The golf course and fairgrounds are also just a couple miles away. Please note the street may be icy or snowy in the winter and all-wheel drive is recommended during winter stays. We look forward to hosting you as our guests.

We came into town for the annual Scottish Highland games. This was the perfect location to town and the quick drive to the fairgrounds. The property was exactly as described. The neighborhood was quiet and the house is not on a through street. The hot tub was an added bonus. We would definitely book again.

My family and I stayed here for a week. The place was super nice. The loft was amazing for afternoon rest from hiking. We love the hot tub and the location was incredible. A short walk to downtown made it easy to shop and experience all the Estes has to offer. Would definitely stay again!

The home was very clean, well organized and relaxing.Having a hot tub (also very clean) on the deck close to the kitchen was great. It was so calming to sit in it with my first cup of morning coffee even though it was 45 deg outside.The Estes Park Aerial Tram is a rock's throw-ish from the back of the house. That alone saves a "few" bucks on parking. The trip to the top is exiting and its history very interesting.Definitely head downtown to window shop, people watch and enjoy all the fun places to eat. A drive not even 10 miles out of town will put you in breathtaking views of mountain tops far above and some very gorgeous homes with that rustic Colorado architecture.Laura and Mark Richins are fabulous hosts. I'd not spoken with Mark, but Laura has the patience of Job and was always quick to return a call or text.My wife and I intend to move to Estes Park in a couple of years. This trip cemented our excitement about doing so.

Great experience!

Would stay here again for sure! The only thing that surprised us was that the AC was only in the main bedroom. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend it! The hosts are extremely responsive!

The house was great. Had everything we needed. The stairs to the family room can be difficult to navigate for older folks. They are steep and narrow. Loved the location...we walked right over to the tram and its very close to downtown. The owners are very responsive. Highly recommend.

Rocky Retreat

Our family visited Estes Park for the 1st time this past week. We stayed at the Rocky Retreat and could not have been happier with our choice. The hosts were very responsive to requests or questions and did everything they could to make our stay memorable. This house is situated in a great spot, close to town, shops, restaurants, and RMNP.

Great House

We loved the house in Estes - great location and was easily walkable to downtown breweries & restaurants. Unfortunately there was a heat wave the couple nights we were there, there is no AC which I’m sure most days are not needed, if you are sensitive to heat please keep this in mind. It was definitely toasty especially during the day! Other than that issue that is uncontrollable - we had an excellent stay and would definitely book again. Thanks!

Loved our stay at Rocky Retreat!

Beautiful and comfortable cabin in Estes Park. Short walk to town with great food and shopping and fun. 3 mile to RMNP. Loved the hot tub! Some mule deer came into the yard one afternoon.

Great stay for the cost

In terms of proximity to the park and downtown Estes Park it was a great location. We were able to get to everything we wanted to do. The house offered a hot tub, washer/dryer and full kitchen. There is no air conditioner so the hot days were 78 degrees on the main floor, noting it was much warmer upstairs. There is opportunity to give more attention to details around the property but everything was functional with the exception of the Wi-Fi and some TV remotes, but was addressed upon reaching out to the hosts, who were very helpful. Some of the conditions of the furniture, lighting and structure of the house are off but it suited our needs without breaking the bank.

Estes Cabin Experience

We had a great experience at the Rocky Retreat! This is walking distance to the downtown area (although quite a hill to get to house so it might be challenging for elderly etc). The house worked great for us. Everything was labeled, they had coffee kups, seasoning, and some snacks for guests. Plenty of towels, and washing machine. The master bedroom and bed were the best part. It’s very cute, relaxing and the bed is very comfortable. They have a ton of games for families, too! Great communication from the owners.
