Do not stay here-- it is awful.

Upon checking in, the manager who checked us in was rude and condescending. The building itself is old and although it has been recently renovated, it looked like it was renovated by an office worker / dad on the weekend who has never picked up a caulk gun before in his life. Fortunately, the nearby beach was nice.

Holiday Getaway

The hotel did not have a reservation in my name. Did not stay at the hotel. They had a room at twice the cost as the reservation would have cost. Appearance of the hotel was less than ideal for the cost of the room. I was disappointed with the hotel and especially disappointed with Hotels.com. I tried to get help from the website but finally gave up. I will share my experience with other travelers often.

Run the other way FAST!!!

Worst place ever!! Looks like something out of scary horror movie. Paint chipping everywhere, doors looked like the have been kicked too many times or mauled by a dog. Beds squeaked like they have been used a lot. The sheets were stained and dirty. We didn’t even want to take our shoes off in the room. And we slept with one eye open all night. Never again! I would of taken pics but I didn’t even want them on my phone… trust me it’s bad!

Poor quality

The room was in poor condition, a stain on the wall and peeling baseboard. It felt very cheap with the plastic flooring and plastic mattresses. The blankets were thin and cheap.

The room its self was fine for our needs. However it was dirty. There was so much sand on the floor that it got into our bed. There was only one chair to sit on so one of us had to eat dinner on the bed. The refrigerator froze my food and the microwave was broken. The dining area is also the front desk. So we didn’t get breakfast because it was too crowded. I was lucky that got a cup of coffee before we had to leave. The attendant and housekeeper were lovely. The attendant was going to comp part of our stay due to the conditions but because I hadn’t booked with them he could not. For the price it’s not great at all. But works in a pinch.

I stayed here with my kids for a three day weekend while exploring the Redwood NP area. The location was perfect! The motel is obviously older but the condition was still very good. The bathroom could use some updating, but was still very clean. All of the staff that we interacted with were gracious and kind.
